About this ebook
When Al Reos leaves a ruined Earth he makes a decision that will follow him through the ages. It affects his descendants until the last is born - Serafina Reos, the only female. Upon her shoulders lay all his sins and she must make a decision that will ultimately bring life in the Joiran Cluster back full circle. Will she undo the thousands of years that has been carried out to complete her ancestor’s work to protect the Joirans from an ancient enemy, the Sharith, or will she make a decision against the good of the many?
Kingdoms Away 2 of 3 Serafina’s life has turned for the worse as she must face the underlying truth of the Joiran Cluster: the enemy is not just the Sharith, but closer to home. The Heikavian people must make a painful decision to give up their peaceful lives or to save Serafina. For Ky the decision is easy and he is transformed, forcing his people back to the old ways; to where they were once known as the Black Warriors of Ta’ren, a race that even the Sharith feared.

Hi readers of soft speculative science fiction! Current works: Kingdoms Away, Alien Crucible (see below), some other stuff. Visit selinavalenbrown.com for details. Alien Crucible is progressive and sequential but each log has its own plot as well. Alien Crucible is more than just a series. It spans over 18 logs (100K+ words each and all complete) and comes with novellas and images - all to be released over 2 years. It is essentially a science fiction epic that is unveiled through sub-logs that contain snapshots of Jamie and Ara's lives but connect and build to traditional style climactic points. Please note: All 3rd person POVs. Log 4 to Log 15 are more traditionally written and each spans approximately a year or less. I love all genres but mostly write soft speculative science fiction with mythological parallels, strong themes and motifs. I love well-rounded stories so you'll find a little bit of everything, but I do try and keep to the main genre - soft scifi. I read, a lot, published books and books from indie authors (that's me too). I'm currently writing full-time and would like to remain writing full-time. That's where you come in :) I'm essentially a private person with a big imagination. I love writing and hope that translates to my stories.
