About this ebook
Poems of love and love’s incarnations: excitement, pathos, sex, loss, hope, denial, broken hearts, affection, desire, lust, betrayal, devotion... It’s all here in this emotionally naked collection of poetry. Poetry filled with passion and gentleness. Cici writes with a voice that takes the reader to a deeper place. A place where the earthiness of the human condition is laid bare A place of exploration. Exploration of the passionate boundaries of heart and soul. There are no boundaries. The poems are not a road map nor a final destination. They are sign posts along the way. The journey is totally yours.
A collection of poetry heavy on contemporary styling as well as the occasional haiku. The strength of the visual is not lost to the word. This is poetry worth pondering.

Open Windows - Cici Allyn
One
The heat lighting had just splintered the the back of the next ridge over.
I caught myself thinking of you.
A fleeting moment
Still
Caught in the smiles of the eye.
I hoped you were safe from the fires of life.
On your journey
Wrapped on the arms of love
Comfortable
Like a favorite sweater…
Humming a summer song
And remembering a mischief
To be acknowledged later.
I hoped you were happy.
I was thinking of you and I smiled.
