Homeless Series

First story in the Homeless series! Randy Hudson has it all. A wonderful family, beautiful home, and a successful, thriving business. But Randy's oldest daughter, Rose, is turning his perfect world upside down. Even worse than Rose's disrespectful new attitude is her disrespectful new boyfriend, Mark. There is something off about the arrogant teenage boy...and Randy won't rest until he finds out what. Get started on the first story in the Homeless Short Story Series. This is the first story of 7 that were originally published as the novel HOMELESS (now a collection called HOMELESS: Origins). From here on out, the series will continue as ongoing connected individual stories. Story Arcs containing a few stories will be grouped together and released as a "novel". A wonderful marriage, beautiful family, and a successful, thriving business. Life was good, until one night he lost everything he held dear at the hands of a bloodthirsty and ruthless gang. Following the tragedy, Randy slipped into a deep depression, into the bottle, and off the grid of existence. Living homeless on the streets of Detroit, Randy is eventually reminded of what he lost and how he lost it. The same gang that destroyed his life is now running roughshod over the city. living the life of kings. And that doesn’t sit well with Randy. Fueled by a long forgotten anger and need for justice, he decides to put all his energy and focus into one thing...revenge.

Randy Hudson thought all was finally right in the world again. He'd saved Rose from the clutches of her slimy boyfriend Mark. She was home, safe and sound, and understood that Mark was a slimeball. Randy figured that now they would be able to move forward and be a happy family again. But he was horribly wrong. And as a result of Randy's actions, everyone he loves may not survive the night. This is the 2nd story in the ongoing Homeless series, chronicling the origin of a brand new superhero.

But the past never stays buried for long. Soon, Randy will realize there is only one thing he wants buried...his family's killers. George Nall is in trouble. His investigation into The New Age Brotherhood left him unconscious and as a prisoner of the ruthless gang he has been trying to bring down. And he has little doubt what will happen after the gang beats as much information out of him as possible. Unbeknownst to George, Randy's own war on the gang is about to lead him right to George's captors. With Randy and George in the same place at the same time, will their secret lives be revealed to one another? Or will The New Age Brotherhood eliminate their two biggest threats in one night?

Randy and George's partnership is dissolving. They are both so upset with one another that they don't notice Randy had a tail when he returned to George's house in his Homeless gear. A New Age Brotherhood tail. It isn't long before Blane is contacted and when he runs the address and gets a name, it is one that is all too familiar to Blane's cousin Mark. Now, George is in the crosshairs of the gang, and he is all on his own. Will he survive?

The mysterious figure in black continues to haunt and torture Mark. Meanwhile, Randy promised George he would try taking down the gang George's way, with no killing unless absolutely necessary. But Randy has his own agenda and way of doing things, and he isn't going to change easily. Against George's wishes, Randy is going to spend the night carving his way through The New Age Brotherhood, and the body parts of its members, with no thought of the consequences. By night's end, Randy and George's partnership, as well as their lives, may be in jeopardy.

George is fighting for his life after an attack led by Mark and The New Age Brotherhood. Randy knows that he himself played a large role in his friend's fate. He has been reckless, lazy, and self absorbed during his quest for revenge. Now Randy sees things clearly. But, before he can truly attempt to turn over a new leaf, he has a job to do. He is heading into a war at a heavily guarded safehouse to get his hands on Mark. And he plans to rip answers and justice from the little weasel limb by limb. That is, if he can survive long enough to do so. The story of Homeless finally continues... Randy survived the bloodbath at the safehouse where Mark was being kept, leaving a trail of corpses behind him. But the one corpse he thought for sure he'd leave behind is not only still alive, but now under his protection. Mark revealed something to Randy that, if true, will change everything. Now, Randy has to get Mark somewhere safe so they can both heal up, regroup, and find out if Mark is telling the truth, or just trying to save his hide. But with the entire New Age Brotherhood and the crooked Detroit Police Department hunting the injured pair, will they survive long enough to do so?
