Chapter 1: Fruit Pies
Triple Berry Pie

2/3 c. chilled shortening
½ tsp. salt
2 c. flour
Berry Filling
3 Tbsp. cornstarch
½ c. white sugar
1 ½ c. blueberries
2 c. raspberries
1 c. halved strawberries

Place the pie into the oven to bake for 25 minutes. Check the pie and turn around before baking another 30 minutes or until the crust looks golden brown.
Allow the pie to cool down for at least an hour on a rack before serving with some whipped cream or ice cream.
