Self-Esteem Parenting Self-Esteem Journal
365 DAYS
How to Use the Self-Esteem Parenting Journal
Step One:
Complete the Self-Esteem Parenting Assessment form at the beginning of your journal. Your main reason for completing this form is to get a clear idea of what your current family goals are. This simple annual activity will put you in the position of leading your family with purpose. A sample form is provided at the back of your journal.
Step Two:
Complete the Annual Parenting Goals List. Write down seven major parenting goals that you would like to improve this year. Make all your goals specific. A sample form is provided at the back of this journal.
Step Three:
Complete a goals list at the beginning of each month. This will help with focusing on your monthly parenting goals. Your goal is to develop healthy parenting habits in order to communicate effectively with your children. A sample monthly goals list is provided at the back of your journal.
Step Four:
Share the daily family affirmation and word of the day with your children at the beginning of their day. Invest your first 30 minutes of each day for working in your daily parenting journal, choosing a powerful word, and creating your personal family affirmation for each day. A sample is provided at the back of your journal.
Step Five:
• Write down one family goal for each day. Your family goal should always be challenging. A sample form is provided at the back of your journal.
• Write down a daily family confession. (See sample form at back of journal)
• Write down the physical activities (plans) you will implement to accomplish your family goals each day. (See sample form at back of journal)
• Evaluate your results at the end of the day and write down daily successes. Feedback is the only way of knowing your growth level.
• Write a prayer to God. Request guidance and family protection daily. Ask for patience, self-control and peace of mind. Give God thanks for your present family situation. Ask God for access to knowledge, understanding and wisdom for the physical manifestation of your daily family goals according to His Will.
• Highlight all items on your Annual Parenting Goals List as they manifest throughout the year.
