About this ebook
Business is above all about communication. Poor communication can be one of the key obstacles to success in business. It is also a fact that the English Language is the International Language of Business. Consequently, if you want to succeed in international business you need to communicate effectively and successfully in English.
That communication can be in the form of having a successful job interview, presenting a dynamic presentation, engaging comfortably in small talk and writing persuasively. The above four business skills are what most of my clients have wanted to work on during their courses with me so it seemed natural to write about my experience and to share it with other professionals like you here in this e-book.
Each post shares tips and gives you example expressions you can use in any given situation. It takes you through the steps you need to become an effective communicator in the skill it’s referring to.
Each chapter is independent of each other and can be read as a separate unit. I have also prepared additional phrase banks that you will find in the five appendices at the end of the e-book. Each unit can be used as a reference guide as and when you need.

From Blog to E-book
My journey into writing started with my blog, English With A Twist in 2013. I started off with the aim of sharing all the random thoughts I had about my enriching experiences as an English Language Trainer; what I loved about the English Language and Literature; what my clients taught me; what was/is wonderful about learning any language and also to share with my readers the different ways I teach the English Language.
So three years, 250+ posts and two awards later, I have written on a range of topics from grammar, business writing, presentations, job interviews, business idioms, phrasal verbs, learning vocabulary through books, music and films through to how to talk about hairstyles with your hairdresser.
However, I am first and foremost a Business English trainer and so it was inevitable that I would niche down and concentrate on helping professionals like you acquire the necessary English language and business skills to succeed in your professional life.
Consequently, my posts now focus on Business English and the language you need to write, present, engage in small talk, have an
