About this ebook

De-Captivate Your Mind is a book about clearing your mind from the noise in the air. And the main reason you need your mind clear is that your mind shapes your world and and you are subject to the world that consumes your mind the most.

Fred Allan Would said once that there is No shaping the universe without the mind, that the mind is shaping the very thing that is being perceived. If that is the case would it not be possible for someone to control or influence your perception in order to control your mind and then eventually control your world? The Mind is a powerful tool, It needs freedom, It needs clarity and it needs to be De-Captivated so it's usage can be optimized.

A few things you will get from this book besides how to free your mind.
1. Is a free gift linked inside.
2. That your mind should not be left to the noise in the air: Things like Television, the radio, The papers and magazine will consume your mind and shape your world if You're not in control especially if you believe you are not in control.
3. Both truth and lie can be taken as a fact for as long as you have enough witnesses to verify. It would be messed up to base your entire life on a lie just because you have enough witnesses wouldn't it.

You will also learn a few things that shape our beliefs which end up creating and controlling the world we are subject to; Such things as culture, education and past experiences both good and bad. And most of all you will learn how the Messiah Jesus Christ Created his Own world rather than be consumes in the one he lived in. For that you have to understand that he came at a time when the Hebrew were in captivity under the Romans and their biggest desire was that he would free them from the Romans and establish his Kingdom In Jerusalem. But his commission from the father went far beyond that. His Kingdom would not be limited to Jerusalem and the Hebrew but his mission was the reconciliation of the world to God. " I have come to set the world on fire, and I wish it were already burning" Luke 12:49. That's one of my favorite bold statements by him, right up there with the one where he told the Jews to eat him and they will have eternal life; Classic right?

The word has it that we are the image of God right? And Romans 8:29 says that we were predestined to be conformed to the image of the Son so that he may be the first born among many brothers. So it's safe to declare that rather than be victims of other people's dreams that are our nightmare, rather than have our worlds and lives shaped by the spirit of the prince of the air through his many agents that are in charge of the media, the music, the print press and etc, De-Captivate your mind from it all and create your own life and world. Clear your mind from lies that you have heard enough times so you believe them, and establish your world on absolute truth. Your Mental Liberty is absolutely essential. I think current day slavery is not the control of another human being through force but controlling their world by controlling their world. If nelson Mandela, Mahatma Gandhi as well as Doctor King fought for the slavery and racial segregation of their people, If the almighty himself came in down hard on Egypt by the hand of Moses to free his chosen folk, How much more should you defend the one thing that can be controlled through the gentle forces of influence? #MentalFreedom my friend. Your mind is for bringing the world you see inside your heard or your soul into the world you live in. But not if you are consumed in the one you live in. The Christ praying for his disciples said to the father " they are in the world but they are not of it". We should not be conformed to this world. It lies to us too much. Set your mind free, free, free at last.   "Freedom is an ideal for which i am prepared to die". Nelson Mandela.

2. Preface

––––––––

When you walk in the park you either adjust to someone's pace or they adjust to yours.

Sydney Poitier.

This statement doest only apply to walking but also thinking and doing. The mind seems to adjust to the environment that surrounds it and tries to fit in by doing the same things that everyone does. Even if it may have pending questions as to why everyone is stuck doing the same thing but because it has more than one mind to copy from it will simply accept it as a norm and fit right in.

However is that what the mind was built for? Adjusting, fitting and adapting? How about creating, breaking beyond, going further and thriving? The greatest people in life are the ones that break beyond the norm. The ones that refuse to believe that what is already known is all there is to know and therefore they seek to know more. The ones that refuse to believe that what has been done is all that can be done therefore they look for what has not been done before. The ones that refuse to believe that what has been said..... You get the gist.

Most adjustment and adaptation seems to orient around comfort, safety and self preservation. Taking risks especially by attempting what has not been done before seems to be hard for most human beings. I wonder how scary it was for the Wright brothers to invent the airplane and then afterward actually have to fly it. Wasn't Henry ford afraid that the piston that he tested his combustion engine idea on would blow up and take his hands together with it? My favourite statement about risk is one I heard from Les Brown who said if you can’t risk you can’t grow and if you can’t grow you cannot become your best and if you cannot become your best you cannot be happy and if you cannot be happy what else is there to live for.

Man is a creation from the most High God as an extension of himself. He gave each one of us minds and control over our mental attitudes so we can each bear authority to do and think individually, thus each create our own world. We may use each other's collective effort but such effort is much more profitable if each of us is chasing our own purpose and encouraging each other for growth than pull each other down or even slumber together in mediocrity.

The God who created us is not limited by or into anything, but rather he grows in ways indescribable or fathomable by man, this is not something new. He has always been that way and in being that way at one point he decided to create a way through which to extend his overflowing life by sharing it with his creation. So he created the entire known universe wherein the earth is included and on earth he put man in charge as a physical expression of himself to continue to express his growth. The mind is where ideas of how man grows are generated but some are dismissed and allowed to die a slow terrible death especially when no one else had attempted something like that before.

When the mind adapts into a certain norm it plants itself into the habits or the environment that contains it, and gets caught up in the spirit of the atmosphere rather than command the atmosphere to put things together in favour of the mind's dream. This mind has been captivated by the goings on of that environment and up until its de-captivated it will not produce any result worth noticing.

3. We are subject to the world that consumes our minds the most

I have given up living my life on Facebook or Whatsapp or any of the current social media outlets that are out there. Not that I don't use them anymore. I still have accounts. But there something about living your entire life on social media that makes you has no life anywhere else. Lately I been thinking that the world out there is beautiful, And life outside is full of challenges and risks that make a person grow and become his best, and it’s all part of the magnificence and beauty of life and if I were to live my entire life hiding from it, As life on social media can sometimes encourage, I would be missing out. Plus I don't believe that one can fully say that they have lived if they have not faced any challenge in their lives. It’s part of the ride.

I gave up watching soap operas also a long time ago. Back in those days the most popular soap operas were Generations and Isidingo localy and then the western ones which I'm sure are as old as my grandmother: Days of Our Lives and The Bold and the Beautiful. They should have called it the crazy and the perverted. Now there was nothing wrong with the soap operas but there is something about it that I hated. That it got my mind consumed in the world of that silver screen.

Let me make this point, the moment you start getting emotional over what will happen to a certain soap character, good or bad, to the point that you actually believe that they are real people and not just a show then your life is over. You are no longer a rational thinking human being. You have been CAPTIVATED by a world of television to the point that you concern more over what happens on it than you concern over what happens in your own life. In other words you are dead to your own life and now alive in a screen writer’s world. One of the reasons why it’s easy to be captivated by the world of television is that for most of us life is hard and rather than face it we use escape tactics, like blinding your mind through living your life in television. And this temptation is very easy, especially because almost everyone is doing It. These days it’s not even Tele novelas, its reality shows and series. As tragic as it is to live life like this I did for the longest time.

But lately I've realized that I have a plethora of wonderful people that I can concern about. My mother,
