    INTRODUCTION

    A winner is someone who recognizes his God-given talents, works his tail off to develop them into skills, and uses these skills to accomplish his goals. - Larry Bird

    It all began on a Wednesday after a very powerful evening service in church. That day, I was called aside by my pastor and together we went outside the church premises for a brief discussion. After he had asked me how I was, how was my day and how was the service? Of which I gave him three positive answers, he went on to tell me he had a vision about me.

    In the vision, he said he saw me climbing a high mountain with some other climbers too; we were climbing to get to the top of the mountain. I was fully dressed like a mountain climber in the vision according to him and if you know how mountain climbers dress you will know that they do have a small can of water with them. He said in the course of climbing this strange high mountain, I got tired occasionally which was normal and the people climbing with me got exhausted occasionally too. So whenever any of us got tired while climbing this mountain, I would stop to help the climber or myself with some water from my small can of water to quench our thirst and regain strength to continue our journey to the top.

    We continued like this with me helping myself and my fellow climbers until we got to the top of the mountain. They also helped me in various ways for me to get to the top quickly and unhurt. He said on my arrival at the top of the mountain, I got to discover that there were many other climbers who were already through with climbing and so were on top of this strange mountain waiting. They were all looking exhausted, hungry, tired and so much in need of water and food. Some of them were even at the point of death and if not given water in a short while will die.

    My pastor continued by saying that immediately they saw me with water, they all came rushing and running towards me even those that could not run were walking and those that could not walk were crawling. They all came asking; some were on their knees begging and others wanted the water by force.

    I was left with no other option than to give them the water because they were ready to push me down from this strange high mountain if I refuse them the water. When I gave them the water to drink, something strange happened – the more they drank from this my special can of water, the more the container increased. They all drank to their utmost satisfaction then the last person who drank gave me back my can of water which was still filled to the brim.

    By this time according to my pastor, everyone was happy, satisfied, healthy and full of life. Even those at the point of death were now filled, healthy and happy. Those that were restless were now filled with peace. Those who hated their life because of their location were now filled with hope for tomorrow. Those who wanted to leave the mountain top now had another reason to stay back. Thanks to my arrival and my special can of water. Pastor Jonathan concluded the explanation of the vision to me by saying that we were all happy, smiling, and celebrating and they all came to thank me in various ways.

    After the conclusion he asked me Brother Alex, do you know what this vision means? I replied No, not at all wanting to know and hear more about this vision from this great man of God. In replying me he said "You climbing that mountain in the vision mean your struggles in life to get to the top of your destiny. The special can of water represents your God given talents and gifts. While climbing and struggling to get to the top, you need to help other people to get to the top of their own destiny, life and career with your talents and gifts. While they also do the same to help you get to where you are supposed to be in life.

    He continued by saying, You have to help other people with your talents and gifts. You have to impact the world with your gifts. You have to preach the word of God with it. If you keep it to yourself for any reason, be it fear of failure or otherwise a lot of people will suffer. So many people will not live to their full potentials. Some people will not be saved. And God will hold you responsible for that he said. When I left this great man of God, I pondered on the revelation. That night, the vision was all over my mind. How am I going to help people with my gifts and talents?" was the only question and thought that ran through my head.

    For about three days, I gave this question serious thought but did not come up with any reasonable answer. Then I shared the question and thought with a trusted friend, who suggested and asked me Why not write a book? the question came hitting me like a thrown stone and immediately I knew this was what I needed to do. This was exactly what I did and you have the result in your hands right now.

    HOW THIS BOOK IS STRUCTURED

    To help you quickly learn all the powerful principles I have provided throughout this book, I have organized and structured this book into three parts. Part one; "You are talented" addresses the importance of your God given talents and gifts. In this section, I explained to you from the scriptures that you are talented. Also in this section you will understand who you truly are and that you were created uniquely by God irrespective of your skin colour, race, country, religion, tribe etc. The benefits and characteristics of your talents are also discussed in this section.

    The second part is "How to discover those talents of yours". This section takes you deeper with the intention of helping you look inside yourself and discover the priceless seeds of greatness that God has placed within you. I also provided you with all the principles and questions that have helped me and countless number of people discover their gifts and talents. Am convinced they will help you discover yours.

    The third part, Go. You can do it, will help you drop all the excuses that have held you back. It also shows what you are to do with the talents that God has given to you. It explains how to think and dream big with those talents of yours.

    I must advice you to get ready! You are about to embark on an inner journey through which you will explore parts of yourself that perhaps you have rarely or never tested just to discover your talents and those seeds of greatness God has planted in you.

    I guarantee you that if you follow and apply all the principles in this book; you are going to discover your God given talents and gifts. You will learn just how to develop and manifest those talents of yours. You are going to be successful while using those talents of yours. You will learn how to impact lives and fulfill your purpose. You will discover that you are uniquely and specially created. This book will change your mindset and edit your belief system.

    This book will motivate you into giving your best, reaching for the stars, pursuing your dreams and especially about doing whatever you can to help others reach their full potentials and achieve their dreams too. It will also help you discover and focus on your core genius – to be better at what you were born to do, and be a huge success at the things you most enjoy.
