    Ghost of Red Cavern is about the survival of a human male on a strange planet, extreme weather here made the survival of mankind a miracle at best. The space ship which brought Devon and he and his earth mother to this planet sent a distress call before landing in the planets surface for meteor repairs. That distress call never reached earth and so there would be no rescue. Twenty years had past on this planet but on earth nearly a hundred years had past. Devon was born on on the planet he easily adapted to the extreme conditions as well as picking up some unique powers. He grew up among emphatic creatures very much unlike himself but he did not fear them for they had never harmed him. He heard them speak in his mind, though he spoke to them in his mind he did not have a strong mind and no kinetic abilities. He was raised in the Palace of the Royal family he was a companion and play thing of Princess Celia, who saw Devon as a little brother much different than herself for she was an giant Ant who was being groomed to one day be a Queen. He and Celia the Princess were best friends and as a five hundred year old child she got into mischief all the time, Devon knew no other human beings and because he was raised with Celia he loved her and protected her the best he knew how. When she was bad he bore her punishments for her. When they overheard the Royal guards discussing the last expedition to the Red Caverns he learned that humans had once lived there and he begged Celia to go there with him. Our story begins with he and Celia leaving the Palace on an adventurous trip to the red caverns.

    Lgoo Books is well known by family and friends for his love of aircraft and knowledge of things mechanical but many even family had no idea that he's been a published Author for over 9 years and has written over 18 works of fiction and other works. When did he become interested in writing? As a boy really, he walked as much as two miles to get to libraries to read books checking out as many as six at a time or the limit. Compassion was learned at an early age and practiced throughout life. At fourteen a first flight lesson; the cost just $5. His passion since early in life was someday becoming a pilot in the military or civilian it hadn't mattered he just had a desire to experience flight. It was not until he was in his early fifties that time and money that endeavor became a reality. One day he was sitting at the computer writing and recovering from an injury and pondering early retirement from skilled trades but what to do until age 65? A little research online lead to the local college, signing up for ground school, not long after he was in a cockpit of a Cessna Sky-hawk a 4 seater. These days writing keeps him up at night, he's enjoyed some success tinkering with and repairing computers for pleasure, keeping my website up and running. Hobby beekeeping and delving into various schemes with his new wife. A couple of years ago he even took on a part time job as an Instructor of residential hvac at a local adult education facility. The first few books were devoted to giving back to help homeowners and others with fixing their own furnaces or air conditioning.A main character in that first book of fiction soon stretched into four books. The first book Lasting Effects of an Indiscretion is partly a true story. Each book were written to complement the previous book with new characters as well as some of the same ones as in previous books. Some stories are fantasy, two are short children stories the latest called Ghosts of Red Cavern is science fiction and may appeal to ten to twenty year olds. Four are devoted to skilled trades self help books for people who enjoy working with their hands and have some skills in the trades. Lgoo has always had a sense about right and wrong and so one true story had to be written. (Charisma) That story took place before the birth of his writing career many years almost thirty years ago.       Ghosts of Red Cavern

      Ghosts of Red Cavern are a work of science fiction; set in the year twenty third century, the once warring inhabitants of the earth have finally made peace in its entire world a reality. Getting all its inhabitants to peace talks wasn’t an easy task but one Alien stepped forward and ended the reign of many terror groups on two fronts. Their supply of recruits ending and uniting ethnic groups in a new way then was infiltrating the remaining groups infecting their numbers like a rogue virus one by one. These friendly aliens who resemble man but have green skin came forward to offer their assistance in the final push to end the blood shed. When they made their presence known to man, they helped the inhabitants of earth build their own kind of saucer ships for exploration. Rather than making war with its neighbors, the nations now use their resources to explore the galaxy sending expeditions to other planets while building a new world on earth where man and aliens exist together.

      The ship which brought Devon’s family to this planet was not planned but rather a necessary visit. Tiny asteroids had collided with their saucer; damaging the light weight skin, the crew of thirty men women and children were aboard. The skin of the ship acted as an antenna but they were unsure if their distress call was sent. To protect it from the elements while repairs commenced it was ferried inside a mountain using the six wheeled buggies used for exploration. Unfortunately the cavern which they had chosen was already occupied by giant spiders; all the crew perished within the first week except one crew member; the Archeologist. The climate on the strange planet was not a friendly environment and during the attack on her crew. The Archeologist escaped but was injured in a fall she was found by giant and docile ants.

      The Archeologist was pregnant but as of yet unaware but the Queen mother ant sensed the new life within and was ready to shelter the human. The Queen of the Ants spoke to the woman in her mind guiding her to safe haven the ant workers brought the injured woman into their colony. She was nurtured and allowed to give birth. The story went that because she’d been injured in the crash she died soon after giving birth but the real truth was at their demand she’d been handed over to the spiders. Years later the captain of the royal guard was trying to reason with his queen. My Queen won’t you listen to reason the eldest son pleaded again; he was not only captain of the Royal guard but also the queens favorite son; the boy’s presence among your subjects is not a good thing Queen mother. He is a boy now but he won’t always be a boy soon he will become a man it is then that I feel something bad is bound to happen.

      No sounds were heard during this heated conversation as it went on except a chirping sound. Ant’s have no vocal cords; they could make different sounds by rubbing their mandibles together such as when they needed to raise an alarm quickly to alert many Ants. The females of the Ant species had the ability to read minds and this is how they communicated with all other creatures. Matt had found that he could sometimes block some of his thoughts from her but not always. So my son when have you developed abilities to look into the minds of another? I haven’t my queen but something in my gut tells me keeping this boy in our midst is all wrong, Queen Mother as long as we have lived in this land no Ant has ever killed another ant or any other creature. Queen Mother I have seen for myself these humans have no honor, no morality and you did not see as I did how quickly and easily it was for those other humans to kill.

      My son there are no weapons here now and those who killed, they are no more and even if there were the boy doesn’t know about killing, how is it his short existence among us that he is so troubling to you? He’s just a little boy and besides Princess Celia cares for him too? Mother you said too, am I to understand that you also care for him as does Celia? I cannot deny that the boy has a special place in my heart and besides I have foreseen it, someday soon this boy whom you mistrust so much, will some day soon change your mind how you feel about humans. Matt had lived only a few hundred years, but the Queen mother thousands of years had she survived. Only females could read minds some were more gifted like the Queen mother; could also see into the future. There were two kinds of male’s smaller ones that were workers or gatherers who went afield gathering food for the colony.
