    BREAKFAST TRAY SET

    Good Morning, Dear

    MATERIALS—Lily Sil-Tone Mercerized Crochet Cotton (100-yd. balls): 2-balls White and 1/2-ball each Orange and Apple-Green (or other colors. 1/3-yd. White linen. Crochet hook size 9 or 10. Size—12″×18″.

    FLOWER ROW—In Orange, (ch 5, a 3-dc-Cluster in 5th st from hook, ch 3, sl st in Cluster for a p, ch 4, sl st at base of Cluster) 3 times, * ch 5, a Cluster in 5th st from hook, ch 7, a Cluster in 5th st, ch 6, a Cluster in 5th st, a p, ch 4, sl st at base of Cluster. * Repeat from * to * 9 times. Ch 5, a Cluster, a p, ch 4, sl st at base of Cluster (for corner flower). Repeat from * to * 18 times. Make another petal for corner. Repeat from * to * 10 times. Make another petal for corner. Repeat from * to * 17 times. Ch 5, a Cluster, ch 2, sl st in tip of 1st petal, being careful row is not twisted, ch 2, sl st back in Cluster, ch 4, sl st at base of Cluster. ROW 2—* Ch 5, a Cluster, a p, ch 4, sl st at base of Cluster, ** sl st in 1-ch between next 2 petals, ch 4, sl st at top of next Cluster, ch 1, sl st under next 2-ch, ch 1, sl st in next Cluster, ch 4, sl st at other end of same Cluster. Repeat from * around, omitting from * to ** on corner flowers. End with sl st at base of 1st petal. Fasten off.

    LEAF ROW—Work this around on the inside of flower row. Join Green between 2 flowers, * ch 8, a 2-dtr-Cluster in 8th st from hook, ch 1, dc in next petal, ch 9, a Cluster in 8th st, sl st in sl st between flowers. Repeat from * around, making 6-ch across corner flowers. Fasten off. Join White to one dc, (ch 12, sc in next dc) repeated around. Make 5-ch across corners. ROW 2—Ch 3 for a dc, * (ch 2, dc in next 3d st of 12-ch) twice, dc in next st, (ch 2, dc in next 3d st) twice. Repeat from * around. At corners, make 1 dc in 3d st of 5-ch, dc in next sc. Fasten off.

    EDGE—Join White to one corner flower, ch 10, dc in 6th st from hook, (ch 6, dc in 6th st from hook) twice, ch 5, sc in other petal of same flower, (ch 10, dc in 6th st from hook, ch 5, sc in next flower) repeated around, with each corner like 1st one. Fasten off. ROW 2—Sc in 1st lp at one corner, ch 6, dc in same lp, (ch 3, dc) twice in same lp, * ch 1, dc in next lp, (ch 3, dc) 3 times in same lp. Repeat from * once. ** Ch 4, dc in next lp, (ch 3, dc) 3 times in same lp. Repeat from ** around, with only 1-ch between shells
