Whether as renegade police officer John McClane in Die Hard, the disgraced boxer Butch Coolidge in Pulp Fiction, or the mysterious psychologist Dr. Malcolm Crowe in The Sixth Sense, Bruce Willis’s characters have completely entered the lexicon of pop culture.
Nearing sixty, the action star shows no sign of slowing down, not only continuing to pursue new and intriguing film roles, but also trying his hand at producing and financing independent film projects. Beneath the hardened exterior, the actor has displayed a compassionate heart through his many vested political and charitable interests and continues to further his reputation as one of the hardest working and most recognizable faces in all of Hollywood.
Early Working Class Life
Walter Bruce Willis was born in Idar-Oberstein, West Germany on March 19, 1955. Although Willis was born in Europe, he was born to American parents. Willis’s father, David, was an American military officer stationed in Germany, while his mother,
