The Blind Chicken Professor

About this ebook
This brief book is aimed at young teens or anyone older who wishes to look at the differences (or similarities) between the scientific viewpoint on the creation of the universe and what is documented in Genesis? What if the original Hebrew text is re-examined? Would science agree with the Bible or continue to stand apart?
The ‘science’ parts are written in clear everyday English, as is the ‘Biblical’ parts. The translation of the Hebrew words into English are also made simple. In short, if you have no background in science, Biblical studies or even etymology, you will be guided through creation in plain simple English.
Find out about the big bang, Stella nucleosynthesis, the order of creation, Pangea, the evolution of mankind, dark matter & DNA (as well as many other science things). All studied in science, all covered in the Bible, all explained simply here in plain English.
This is a journey through time; a journey that started at the big bang and ends at understanding. Your understanding.

I’d like to thank Bob Parr for his invaluable contribution to the artwork, stepping in to save the day & producing some splendid artwork where my skills with a pencil have fallen short of the mark.
I’d also like to thank Sam Poulter for her sterling advice & proof reading this small book.
Introduction
This book is written primarily because there are many things taken as fact by readers of the Bible (and even by many who don’t even read the Bible), which simply are not true. There are also facts that are inconveniently ignored. Over the years a huge amount of mistaken assumptions have subsequently been made.
In reading this book, it will not highlight every error, but hopefully you will learn how to spot them and translate them into what is acceptable to you, as well as go on a journey of discovery through many scientific theories, which are actually tied into the Bible. For those who are versed in science, I hope it will open up a journey of discovery through the Bible.
Whoever said ignorance is bliss was probably right, but I’d rather be informed. I hope you want to be too. For those who do not like science type things, this book does cover some scientific principles, but these will be explained extremely simply so that everyone should have an understanding and be able to follow along, so no scientific background is needed, but you may like to read along with your own Bible.
For those who do not like Biblical references, I have kept them short, but given just enough information so that you too can follow along. Wherever biblical references have been made, the New International Version (NIV) has been used. If you are happier with another version, feel free to refer to that one. I have in some examples also used the King James Version just because my copy has Strong’s numbers.
Under the broad heading of science in this book I have included Physics, Archaeology, Chemistry, Cosmology, Biology and many other sciences. These are all referred to in this book as science. Firstly to simplify matters, and secondly because if any of these topics are studied at university, then they would all be sciences.

If you didn’t already know, the Bible was written in two languages over a very long period of time. A span of approximately 1,550 years in fact. From roughly 1,450BC through to almost 100AD, firstly in Hebrew (for the Old Testament or torah) and then in Greek (for the New Testament).
Another thing to note here is that all languages change over time. As time progresses, so does the meaning for some words. Also new words are adopted and some are forgotten altogether. So it can be seen that all languages are somewhat dynamic in nature, evolving as time progresses. If we take the word ‘gay’ as an example, fifty years ago it meant happy. Now it means something completely different and no-one would use that word to communicate happiness. Also, I moved from the UK to Italy for a year about fifteen years ago. When I returned to the UK, there were lots of new words being used and I had no idea what they were. Chav and chavvy is an example. Those words were not in use when I left, but were when I returned.
There are also many words adopted from other languages too. It was not until the 1980’s when the Arabic word fatwa was brought into the English language. More recently jihad and a host of others too have been adopted into English.
So as it
