    I have wanted to be a writer since I learned to read. My reading ability was always at the top of the class and this developed into the talent for storytelling.  In 2011 an injury to my left leg left me disabled and I finally got the opportunity to try to write. The first stories I had published were in a US available only anthology.  The Ghost of St. Mary's and The Rocking Lantern were not only the first published, but the first I wrote. Later that year, I had Old Church Ghosts published on line in the UK. The original version is only availlable in the Special Edition version.  I made my on line reputation for ghost stories, but I also write for the children's charity books by The Peacock Writers. In 2012, my book Chronicles of Mark Johnson won an award for excellence from the US on line magazine  indiePENdents.org. Both this book, and its sequel Wharfemere Finale had rave reviews from New York reviewer, Fran Lewis. In recent times, my US hit series Forgestriker has sold over 350 e-books in the seven books series, and earned me a reputation for writing sci-fi in the USA.

      The door to the offices of Vanquish TV opened and in the doorway stood their latest discovery, hard-hitting, no-nonsense reporter Carol Caitlin. Ms. Caitlin was a real catch for the network. Carol had been scouted by many of the networks but chose Vanquish because their policy was to not to hide behind headlines but get to the truth.

      A few years earlier, she narrowly escaped death when reporting on a zombie story for Kill All Zombies TV. Her exploits were published in the e-book Zombiewatch.

      After recovering in the hospital for several weeks, she'd taken respite leave to get some direction in her life, with a rest at a Health Centre in the mountains. Now,  she was back and raring to go, Okay, what's going on Ted? she asked her boss Ted Fleming.

      Ted looked up from his diary, and then replied, No messing with you, is there Carol.

      She smiled sweetly, and commented, If you'd wanted a beautiful face, you'd have picked one of those dolly bird types with qualifications, not me. You chose me because I hit hard and fast, and don't pull my punches. You knew my MO when you signed me from KAZTV, Ted. The people are tired of sexy news readers, I'm all about the news, I go where others won't, and ask questions other people are afraid to, that's why so many stations wanted me.
