    A life of faith is a race for life. A race that can sometimes be tough, hard and lonely. A race where it seems we are surrounded by storms and nothing is going right and in those dark and lonely places a word of encouragement or reading of what God has done for others can renew our determination to fight the battles facing us and run the race to the finish line.

    Over the last nearly nine years I have had the privilege of being led by God on an spiritual journey through the fire of affliction and suffering to a place of being totally transformed from the inside out and deep healing, peace and contentment.

    This journey was the toughest, hardest and most brutal thing that I have ever done and where tears, fear, sadness and despair were everyday emotions. But so all-consuming is the love of God for His precious Children that the rewards are not just waiting for us when we reach the finish line of our race but are showered down upon us in abundance as we run that long hard road if we are prepared to fight our way through the darkness and the storms.

    In Run the Race I share some of the stories of how God really encouraged with amazing blessings even in times of deepest despair and fear and gave me the encouragement that I needed to battle on to the end of my marathon. I hope that this book will bless and encourage you in your own spiritual race.

    Thank you for visiting my Smashwords webpage.For the world to move on from the place that it is and leave behind the hatred, the division, the intolerance, the bigotry and the prejudice that causes so much hurt and pain we all need to turn our backs on the tyrannical God of man-made religion and find the real God.We need to find and come to know this gentle loving Heavenly Father, the motherly Holy Spirit and awaken the Christ Spirit, the Spirit of God, that lives in all of our hearts and is what makes us sons and daughters of the living God.There is an urgent need to break down and remove the ecclesiastical rules, regulations, and the wooden creeds and liturgies of man-made religion and get back to the oh so simple Father-Child faith that was the mark of Jesus and which should be the mark of us.Because that is all faith is - God as our Daddy and us as His precious, beautiful and so very much-loved Children.And when we get to this place God comes alive and lives with us, within us and all around us. He becomes our Daddy and we become His Children and then we are set free to become the people that He has created us to be, live life in all His richest fullness and set off with Him on this incredible and life-changing spiritual journey of exploration, adventure and discovery.Faith isn't about the dry tedium of church on Sunday mornings it is about running into the room, hurling ourselves into God's wide open outstretched arms and yelling "Daddy, Daddy!!!"And that discovery of God as my loving Daddy brought me deep inner healing that changed me, my life and my faith from the inside out and set me free from crippling hurt and pain and mental and emotional illness that had been caused by a violent and abusive childhood.Our history is His-story so all I do in my writing is share what God has done for me in the hope that it will encourage others in their own journey and because God's love, His grace and His healing are free so are the pieces that I write.Be blessed precious brothers and sisters.
