    Alright boys, that's enough. Go play outside, Mommy ordered, sweeping up the remains of a broken vase from the living room rug. Take all that extra energy out of my house.

    Yes Mom, I replied sheepishly, feeling the temperature rise in my face. Thankfully, I was still wearing my Spiderman costume, so no one else saw.

    Yes, Mrs. Colton, My friends echoed, mimicking my unease. They looked up at the ceiling or down to the floor, fumbling with their plastic weapons.

    And leave your candy here, Mommy insisted, hands on her hips. You've all had quite enough sugar tonight.

    Yes, Mrs. Colton, they repeated.

    We had spent the last hour striding up and down the cul-de-sac as Thor, Loki, Iron Man, Wolverine and Captain America. Figures of power, respect and awesome might. A mother had pulled rank now, however, and 'Earth's Mightiest Heroes' filed out the back door in silence, effectively cowed.
