For about forty years I have been working the intermodal transportation business. I have been self-employed in this industry for more than 28 years. I recently retired, and felt that it was time to give something back and to leave something for my grandkids to remember.

The idea to write this book was all mine. It was a great way to show how the intermodal industry operates and how our lives are affected every day by the movement of the shipping containers.
There are several people that deserve recognition. The first is my wife Karen for her encouragement when I started my own business. I have always had her support. Her knowledge of computers made the publishing of this book possible. She will share half of the credit if this book is successful.
There are several colleagues of mine that have reviewed my stories. Most of the time, they were very kind. I'll just mention their first name since they know who they are. My thanks to Al, Bob, Rich, John, Steve and Brian.
My thanks also to our daughter Cheryl, for using her knowledge of social media
to bring this book into the 21st
