How To Build Muscle In Your Advanced

There is no reason to believe that anyone in their old age can achieve in building a muscular body regardless if you're approaching middle age or older. It has been proven many times that muscle respond to resistance training of any kind. Getting older does not mean that we have to give up muscle strength. Your Golden years can be a time to get stronger and appear youthful as you once were, and through this book I will attempt in showing you how we can achieve a superior body that will be the envy of you're peers and associates.

With a proper diet and a planned program of resistance we can manipulate our body to a level you never thought possible. I have devoted my whole life's being on health and fitness and have proved even at my age of 55 that you can build a muscular body, as you can see by my photo on the front cover and in the book itself. But one one the greatest things about bodybuilding is that it's never too late to begin training. Recent studies have shown that you can build muscle at any advancing age as well. That's not to say that its going to be easier than it was when you were younger. Obviously with advancing age our metabolism starts to slow down along with our hormonal levels. But through diet and the correct exercise program, it has been proven that we can extend our youth a bit longer and live a healthy and vibrant lifestyle.

The human body operates on the principal use it or lose it, and those who fail to present themselves with some type of exercise stimulation will lose the ability to move as they once did. Muscle atrophy can result from failure to exercise as one gets in the older years. The body can tolerate an impressive degree of insult, such as the lack of exercise and poor diet management, up until the age 40. That's when all the mental and physical neglect begins to surface. One of the "key' aspects of maintaining physical fitness and health with the passing years is optimal nutrition. The same principle applies when your young also applies when you're middle-aged or old. You still need to get in all the required nutrients and avoid the foods that promote disease and physical degeneration.

If you are over 40 and want to build and keep your muscle, your primary focus should be on maintaining health and preventing disease that starts in the middle years of your life. That's clearly what differentiates older bodybuilders from their younger peers. At the height of their physical powers, the young often show very little concern for preventing disease or attaining some form of physical structure. All that changes when you start turning 40 or older. Even if you still choose to ignore the effects of aging, that will soon become apparent.

Good nutrition and exercise can diminish the effects of aging, or even slow down the effects associated with aging. That's why one needs to know how to eat correctly and establish some sort of healthy life style by adapting to a physical exercise program on a weekly basis. Weightlifting is one of the true ways to build muscle, whether you are young or old. Through my years
