      It’s been over seven years since we published the first edition of 40 Day Publishing, An Author’s Workbook and Step by Step Guide to Self-Publishing in Eight Weeks or Less!

      So much has changed in the world, we felt it was time to update the information so a whole new generation of writers could access the tools to help them become independent, successful, authors.

      While we thought much of the information would need to be changed, we were surprised to see very little had to be updated. The seven skill sets are still the same seven skill sets. The 40-day timeline still works in 40 days. The marketing ideas are just as applicable today as they were then. In fact, besides a few technical changes, the information we put together for authors still holds strong and true.

      What has changed is the stigma attached to self-publishing has all but disappeared, putting indie published authors on the same level as indie artists and indie musicians. Well known authors are transitioning from being exclusively traditionally published to hybrid published — a combination of both. These authors have seen the benefits of formerly unknown authors retaining more of their royalties and hitting bestselling status on various platforms.

      The other major change that has occurred is the technology available to produce, publish, and promote your book has become even more accessible, more user-friendly, and more affordable than ever before.

      If ever there was a time to finish writing your book, self-publish it, and get in the marketing game — that time is NOW!

      As is the case with any business that is cultivated and nurtured, we have been blessed as entrepreneurs to see 40 Day Publishing flourish.
