There is a young woman entrepreneur who takes over her grandmother’s restaurant, making some of the locals repeat customers for some special cooking. Celeste is the lady who loves to cook and is always looking for ways to grow her business. Celeste never feels close to her mother due to the fear of never living up to perceived expectations.Gage is a divorcee with two little girls who captured his heart though never their mother’s, who one day walked out of their lives never looking back. Celeste’s father left her when she was young so she bonds very quickly with Gage’s daughters. No matter how each tries not to fall in love it is becoming apparent they are until Celeste lets out a long held secret.I couldn’t put the book down because of the constant tension between the two main characters, Gage and Celeste. While it is a story including romance, there is so much more such as healing of past hurts, relationships restored, living by faith and not allowing fear to direct one’s path.
