About this ebook

If your heart lies in Ireland while your body pines in the USA, if you delight in quirky, madcap tales, and if you really love food, look no further.

"Banoffee Pie and Black Pudding" takes you on a dangerously magical romp through the kitchens of an Irish-style pub in Seattle, where everything that can go wrong, will.

And all because of one little, ancient artifact that chef Alyssa Granville maybe accidentally stole from Ireland. Who knew a Cauldron of Plenty could cause so much trouble?

God, really, she just couldn’t get enough of this.

Tucking her purse firmly under her arm (she was in a public house, after all, and not stupid), Alyssa leaned back and closed her eyes, letting the sounds wash over her in a delightful jumble. In all her thirty years of life, she’d never quite encountered anything like it. Lively Irish reels on the fiddle, banjo, and guitar from the impromptu jam session in the corner warred with the loud, almost incomprehensible chatter (or good craic, as the Irish called it) from the locals on all sides.

It was perfect, and Alyssa was determined to memorize every detail. She wasn’t sure how she was going to recreate it in Fáilte, back home in Seattle, but by God she was going to try.

She’d have to hire live musicians, for sure, and… Alyssa whipped out the notebook she’d pocketed for just these moments, and wrote down her observations and a note to
