About this ebook

We all wear masks and we all wear them for different reasons. But, think of the freedom you will experience when you can remove that mask and just be your authentic self!

This short, but powerful self-help guide touches on aspects, which can prevent you from living an authentic life, such as self-knowledge, self-acceptance, trust, self-judgment, looking back and feelings of fear. Jennifer Rossouw

Jennifer found herself questioning her life's purpose, after losing her father to cancer in 2004. This led her to leaving for Miami less than a year later, in pursuit of a career on an International Cruise Liner. But, she soon returned home, realizing that she had not dealt with the loss.Jennifer was in search of a deeper sense of Spirituality and decided to study Reiki Healing Level 1 in 2013. However, her journey was not meant to end there and she completed Reiki Master Level in 2014. She felt as if she had found a "hidden treasure" and had the dire need to share this with the world. It was this experience which inspired her to write "A Step in the Right Direction".Jennifer has subsequently written "5 Steps to living a Happier and more Enlightened life", "Masks Aside" and "A Piece of You" and she intends on writing more books, with the aim of inspiring others.

    WITH GRATITUDE...

It is with gratitude in my heart, that I thank our Divine Creator for the lessons I have learnt, for blessing me with the desire to inspire others and the gift of being able to bring my words to life.

I am also grateful for my mom, Stella Rossouw for always supporting me and for giving me sound advice. She is a pillar of strength and an anchor in my life.

Not only has she taught me valuable life lessons, she has also guided me to become the person I am today. She is my mother, my friend and my anchor.

    SOME OF MY FAVORITE QUOTES

"The lotus is the most beautiful flower, whose petals open one by one. But it will only grow in the mud. In order to grow and gain wisdom, first you must have the mud --- the obstacles of life and its suffering. ... The mud speaks of the common ground that humans share, no matter what our stations in life. ... Whether we have it all or we have nothing, we are all faced with the same obstacles: sadness, loss, illness, dying and death. If we are to strive as human beings to gain more wisdom, more kindness
