A Navy SEAL To Protect His LOVE - Summer Love

    Prologue

Joleen, do you know that you are being followed? asked Humphrey. I, followed? asked Joleen a shiver travelling up her spine. Humphrey nodded. Yes, my men say that you are being followed. It is surprising that my guys cannot detect who is following you, but definitely someone is, said Humphrey.  Joleen’s massaged her brow and sat on the nearest chair. Are you frightened? asked Humphrey. No I am not but I find it very eerie that someone is following me," said Joleen.

Well my men will see to it that whoever is following you is snuffed out once and for all, said Humphrey.

    Chapter 1

Joleen Robyn stood at the window of her apartment on the twentieth floor of Manning Apartments on Watson Avenue. Her dreamy eyes scanned the skyline of New York. Joleen had worked for several companies and nothing seemed to suit her as at the end of the month in every job she was dissatisfied.

What do you really want to do Joleen?’ asked Jackie her best friend as she watched Joleen’s eyes dart back and forth. Sighing Joleen turned and smiled. I really don’t know what I want Jackie, said Joleen. Well, you must do something. You need to earn your living don’t you, said Jackie. Joleen nodded and came to sit beside her friend on the sofa. I need something with pep and vigor, not just a nine to five job, where I clock in and clock out at the given times under the eagle eye of the human resource manager," laughed Joleen.

Well then if you want that to happen you will have to start your own business, said Jackie laughing.

Hmm, now that’s an idea, said Joleen crossing her legs and picking up her cup of tea. What does Allan say? asked Jackie. Oh, Allan is in a worse mess than I am. His private detective work is not coming through and I feel he is disgusted with the whole thing, said Joleen. Well the two of you need to sit down and discuss this relationship which I see is heading nowhere. Just like your jobs are, said Jackie getting up and dusting her skirt.

Are you leaving so soon? asked Joleen. Yeah Joleen I have to meet Rob at the station this evening and if I am not there on time he is going to be mad at me, just like the last time, laughed Jackie as she picked up her handbag and headed for the front door.

Joleen watched Jackie leave and stretched her legs.  Closing her eyes, she rested her head on the back of the sofa. Her thoughts rushed to Allan and what Jackie had just told her. I wonder, as Jackie said, what is happening to our relationship, thought Joleen.  I need freedom, I need to move on, but it cannot be with Allan. He is always talking to me about the law and all that stuff which does not interest me a bit, thought Joleen as she got up and walked back to the window. She picked up her mobile and dialed Allan, but her call went to voice mail. "Just as I thought, Allan is never there when I want him, so what is the point of this relationship," said Joleen to herself as she flung her mobile onto the sofa.

Sighing she picked up her car keys and walked out of her apartment heading for the elevators. Joleen rode the elevator down to the basement and walked toward her car.  She
