About this ebook

Fallen Angels is the fifth poem book written by Toni García Arias, published in paper in due moment by the prestigious Editorial Renacimiento.
Fallen Angels is a group of poems about ordinary life themes, like little postcards of everyday life. Among the subjects we can find memoirs of childhood, lack of love, the lost of dear people o the sensation of defeat.

The title Fallen Angels refers to all these little sufferings along our lives that finally convey into our real life moments already converted in memories.

    Fallen Angels - Toni García Arias

    IN THE SHADOWS

    There, where the skyline blurs,

    where shuddering light wander about

    in the middle of shadows.

    There, where life

    breaks out in bangs against the rocks

    and everything admonishes the sinking;

    then, eternally,

    I love you.

    RESURRECTION

    Do not await the resurrection of the flesh;

    what you can see, is what we are:

    entrails and bones –vanished matter-

    liven up by the vain illusion

    to perpetuate our names in history

    (Though it may be alike to any

    particular history of some people).

    And that is all. We reach to a point

    where the victories we are to achieve

    are no longer ours.

    FAR AWAY HOURS

    Above far away hours just extinguishes

    -a sweet surge of an open dream in my memory- I draw as a beam of hope

    the illusion of virginally rebirthing

    a couple of feelings.

    Absurdly, I put forth towards the ashes,

    sailing seas that are no longer
