About this ebook

SOUL VOID POETICS is a collection comprised of many emotions and thoughts since Steven Staples started his poetic journey, not all of which are overtly spiritual in nature. A good portion of the following poems were written when he was at his wit’s end and needed to vent without fear of a negative reaction from a confidant. His internal struggle was a messy rollercoaster of emotions and energy – pleasant and agonizing; pleasurable and confusing. Such is also the nature of the human condition.

It is the author’s sincere hope that this anthology will help readers understand that, despite the differences in our struggles, we are all going through this together. Even separately, our paths are intertwined.

Author

Steven Staples

Born to a publisher-turned-author mother, Steven Staples would inevitably get into writing himself. Starting with 10-page poems and working his way through short stories as well as novellas, his brain held a multitude of ideas for possible novels. Having so many ideas makes it rather difficult to focus on just one, but always results in an intriguing mash-up of concepts and visuals. Some more... intriguing... than others... Steven's first published work, “Bio-Ironics”, is the perfect first splash into the vast ocean that is the world of a published author
