About this ebook
Through a creative dialogue between Jesus and the reader, Clarence Enzler leads you through the journey of the Christian life, beginning with the call to live in friendship with Christ and fulfill his desire. Enzler then examines elements of the Christian life: detachment, virtue, prayer, the Eucharist, and avoidance of sin. Finally, he explores the goal of the journey—a life of union with Christ as his disciple and complete joy with him in eternity.
Each chapter includes short, eloquent meditations on scripture and beautiful prayers, making My Other Self ideal as a daily devotional and source of prayer.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I'm glad that Scribd has an uploaded copy so that it can be read by more people.
Outside of the Bible, there are three books that you should keep in your bedside table: the first is The Imitation of Christ by Thomas À Kempis and the second is My Other Self: Conversations with Christ on Living Your Faith by Clarence J. Enzler and the third is The Way of Salvation and of Perfection by Alphonsus Liguori. These three books are enough to keep you busy for your spiritual reading in one whole lifetime.
In MY OTHER SELF, Jesus speaks to us telling us of His great love for us and that He will never abandon us. Jesus tells us to abandon ourselves to Him and to trust Him as He creates another Christ in us.
After all, isn't that what being a Christian is all about? The process of making CHRIST In ANother. God is creating more Christ-like children through the church who will be resurrected to eternal life and join the family of God sharing in the body, blood, soul and divinity of our Redeemer who has saved us from perpetual death.
This is one book that you can read and reread all your life and everytime you read it, there is something new to learn. It is like Manna from heaven. The bread of life that keeps sustaining us as we go forward in life with full trust in the Lord that He will do what He promised to do for us. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This is a great book for anyone wanting an Encounter with Jesus to be disciples by Him.
