      Chapter One

      Logan Black still amazes me to this day. It’s been a little over four years since we married and had Graham - our son. You could say life has been a little on the wild side as we chase a toddler, manage my business, and Logan’s empire all at once. Between traveling for my clients and the holiday rush, I’m ready to head to my island. I still can’t believe that Logan purchased us a private island off the coast of the Bahamas for my wedding gift. We try to visit as much as our schedules allow, but the last year we’ve only managed a trip once. Needless to say, my excitement to spend Christmas there is beyond words. Graham loves the island just as much as I do, but the simple fact that we don’t have to sync calendars and meetings for a full week is what I call an enjoyable holiday. Oh, and did I say no snow? That’s right; I get a few days with the sun shining upon my face, the island breeze blowing throughout the house, and the sounds of the waves crashing on the shore. Good-bye New York and hello Tropical Paradise.

      This is the first year that we’ll be spending Christmas away from home. We went over it several times, and even though I was worried that Graham wouldn’t be home for Santa – Logan assures me that it’ll all work out. I know that the magic of Christmas has nothing to do with where you are, but our home in New York is all he’s ever seen. As I pack a few more items into my luggage, I stop and let a small laugh escape me. It’s now more than ever that I’m thankful we own a jet. I couldn’t imagine getting all of this stuff on a commercial flight. Between our clothes, Graham’s, and the presents - we’d be laughed right out of the airport. Just as I go to turn, I feel Logan’s warm muscular arms snake around my waist before he places a gentle kiss on my collarbone. It warms me to my core as I think of getting more of this on our vacation and I can’t wait.

      Now, don’t get me wrong; Logan and I still make sure we keep things fresh and he has his way with me when he can. But… At times it feels rushed as we’re both running off to meetings, or preparing for one. I sink into his body more, allowing us to become one for just a moment before I need to pull away. You smell amazing, Angela, Logan says between his nipping of my skin. He knows this drives me mad and will distract me from my overall goal – which is packing before the sun rises.

      Well, Mr. Black, you not only feel amazing, but are distracting me from what I need to do, I say as I turn myself around in his arms to stare up at him. Gently, I run the backside of my hand across his face, taking in the feel of not only his skin- but the stubble he has after not shaving a few days. Over the years, he’s learned that I adore it when he allows for a few in between days of shaving. Logan has also learned that I love for him to caress the nook of my neck with his chin, and I can’t deny that it might feel good in other places as well. Just laid Graham down for the night, how much more do you have to do? I can help, you know.

      Did he give you any problems? I just don’t understand why he goes fast to sleep for you and not me, I say as it baffles me how Logan can get him to lay down and not say a peep versus when I do it; it ends up being ten books
