Through Stories of Others, Enhance Your Life
Introduction
All views of the world are black or white. There are no grey areas.
It would make life easy, I admit. However there is no reality in the statement previously noted above.
With every experience life has to offer, there is a lesson. Lessons come in many forms. Some may be difficult and other lessons feel like a wave of understanding has come over your entire being. Utilize all of your senses when living life. There are many dimensions which we don’t see or acknowledge. The more you are willing to analyze yourself, reactions and experiences, the more you can learn. If you don’t take the time, you won’t see the beauty before you.
Happiness starts by knowing yourself, your capabilities and beliefs. You also need to recognize the fears and limitations you have set for yourself. Self- reflection isn’t always easy, otherwise everyone would do it more often. We tend to point our finger at everyone else before taking a look at ourselves. By reading this, you can see all sorts of views from others peoples stories. Take in the information and ask yourself to see the other side of things. It is your journey, make it a great one.
Take responsibility for your actions, thoughts and choose to have an open mind whenever possible. Not everyone experiences things the same way. We need to respect others feeling and ways. It doesn’t mean they, or you are right, but an open mind without judgement is one of the easiest ways to experience a life of joy. When we place our efforts of judging others, we are causing internal stress on ourselves. You may not notice it, or feel it, but it is happening. When you fill your time with hatred toward others, you are harming yourself. Focus your time and energy toward things that make you happy. Feeling you know who you are and able to love yourself is worth the effort since the reward is overwhelmingly beautiful.
Understanding and compassion for others is key to understanding yourself. We often turn off emotions that make us feel uncomfortable. If we aren’t able to feel and understand the uncomfortable issues, we won’t deal with them. We have to be able to deal and therefore understand much more about the workings of beings and souls and your place amongst it all.
Humor: It feels great to smile and laugh. Allow your humorous side to come out and enjoy all the fun life has to offer.
Humility: It reminds you that you are alive and you have lessons to learn and growth to experience. Corrective steps are necessary to get where you want to go. Be humble and compassionate to our fellow man.
Hope: Without hope and dreams, we are empty shells. Believe in yourself and work toward achieving your goals. Never be afraid to dream and merge your dreams with your reality.
Take a deep breath, relax, open your mind and enjoy the following stories.
Section 1
Close minded people are the most difficult kind to get along with and to connect with. You do more listening than you do conversing with one another. Your opinion is yours and you can own it. However instead of sharing a thought, some feel they need to shove their opinions down your throat. Sometimes you are not right. Sometimes you are. It is hard to admit when you are wrong, you can’t always be right. It is very easy and self-pleasing to brag about the fact that you were right, a horrible pill to swallow when you are wrong.
You will always learn more when you listen rather than when you are flapping your gums about yourself.
You may be old enough you may remember all the hype about the year 2000. People were frantic about the end of the world approaching us. The fear was, at midnight the banks would freeze or crash. The world would blow up. Lots of theories and lots of worry. Some were consumed with hysteria.
