    About the Author

    Introduction

It is such an honor and privilege to be asked to try and put into writing the way I feel about this wonderful, incredible, life-changing, uplifting, life-affirming, joyous, beautiful book. I could go on and on and on about it for weeks, but if I have learned one thing from Marshall, it is that economy of words is as, or even more, powerful than their abundance. I don’t have his gift for succinct jewels of wisdom; I’ve barely even got going and I’m already on word eighty. By eighty Marshall will have changed someone’s view of the world!

Marshall’s writing presents such a beautiful and universal perspective on life and how to live it. Most often he does this by writing something deeply personal: to his parents, to his aunt Cindy, to Lovely, or his brother Coulton. But these gifts to his loved ones and those he comes into contact with are very powerful messages for all of us. Marshall says life is a lesson in learning, and for me at least he is the most wonderful teacher. His approach to life: happiness begins when we agree to love, giving can be the great loving answer, understanding takes a dear good listening thinker, is so full of love, kindness, and generosity and always makes me feel better. I am so grateful for the day that my friend Habib gave me Kiss of God, and I hope it will mean as much to you, and help you as much as it has me. Thank you, Marshall. I love you, and that definitely will never change.

Who isn’t swept away by the rapturous melody of Baroque composer Antonio Vivaldi’s Spring movement from his Four Seasons concerto? The driving line of the violins gives an obvious sense of the
