      Neuroscience is still in infancy and so are humans as a species. We are just beginning to take baby steps on the journey of exploration through the beautiful and enigmatic maze of the human brain. The enigma within the human brain is way more exciting and thrilling than studying the collision of particles in the CERN super collider.

      Being a neuroscientist, the synaptic interactions within the brain circuits thrill me more than the particle interactions of the physical world. That makes me think, if the laws of particle physics are the basic characteristics of the entire physical universe, then why can’t the same properties be at play behind the cerebral interactions as well?

      To be honest the human brain is not separate from the physical universe. Every molecular interaction and every synaptic jump of various neuro-modulators are actually way more entangled with the vast cosmos than we think. The brain itself is an amazing apparatus of space-time modulation. The physicists would say... in order to understand everything around us, it is necessary to see it through the glasses of a physicist. But I can perceive the inexplicable illustration of the entire cosmos within the human brain. Even so, what is so special about the 3 pounds lump of jelly that we carry around in our head!!!

      I must be kidding right!!! Come on... we all know human brain is the dean of this entire institution of limitless human endeavors. It runs us all. Like literally all of us; the Picasso fan next-door, the physicist two blocks from your doorstep, the friendly microbiologist who keeps hitting on you, Steven Spielberg, my favorite Carey Grant, our dearest Erwin Schrodinger, Satyendranath Bose, Madam Curie, the father of psychoanalysis Sigmund Freud or your dearly beloved friend.

      I’m not incorporating any other animals in the list other than the most domestic ones, i.e. humans, as for this book I need the best brain on planet earth. Perhaps you can already sense the spicy smell of modern physics in this preface.

      I’m about to take you on a captivating journey to the paranormal corners of the human brain where dreams of modern physics are already a reality. I’m talking about the parapsychological phenomena such as Telepathy, Remote Viewing (often called as Clairvoyance), Mental Time Travel etc.

      Just imagine how cool it would be, if all of this becomes possible without the use of any billion dollar particle accelerator. The only equipment that can already carry out such bizarre feats is the amazing cauliflower on top of you. Scientifically speaking, all these so called mystical and paranormal phenomena do not have a single bit of paranormal element in them. They already happen in your daily life, often without your conscious awareness or control. In this book, I’m going to show you that everything that happens in human life, no matter how bizarre it seems, there is always a scientific explanation behind it. Various phenomena seem to be paranormal as long as you don’t know the scientific explanation behind them.
