I no longer have anybody to work for than myself and my family. I am entirely responsible for my success or any of my failures.

Squadron Chief in charge of Aircraft Division which includes Power Plant, Airframes, Corrosion Control and Paraloft work centers and Material Control Division which includes Support Equipment, IMRL, AMRL, Material Control, Tool Room and Hazardous Materials work centers. Squadron Chief in charge of 100 personnel in a 209 personnel Squadron.

      BREAKING THE CHAINS OF OUR MAKING

      The same time that the first beam of sunlight shines upon us will be the first chain that will accompany it. Early in childhood, we have already been drowned by lessons which come from a lesson plan already decades old. By graduation day, the lessons will only have been updated once if lucky. What we have learned throughout our lives as students will have been already antiquated and obsolete by graduation day. Time, effort and belief have already been washed down the drain. All the energy is wasted in making us believe that graduation is a culmination of all our hard work which will supposedly lead to better our future.

      The process of education is a chain that holds us down. It keeps us aligned with the belief that we have accomplished and are only worthy to a manageable point. We deserve more and capable of so much more. Life is not education, employment, and retirement. Life is a long trip to fulfillment and leaving a mark in history which is etched in stone.

      Unless education is in real-time, it will always be obsolete. This should be managed with practicality in mind. We live in a different world than we had a decade ago. Knowledge and technical basis are updated in real-time. There is a new discovery or method for a process right when you decide to use a process. We are all interconnected regardless of race, religion, language or political belief. We should be able to use this advantage and not be limited because of refusal or failure to overcome. The perfect irony is that the same students that sit in class listening to their facilitators go over an old lesson are the same students that use their gadgets after school to play virtual reality games and perform advanced programming in HTML. Do you see the disconnect?

      Educators should be compensated the most, out of all the professions. Unfortunately, teachers are deprived of a fair salary, thus can not perform to their utmost, we are wasting these talented individuals who have already volunteered to educate the holders of our future. Since they have chosen this noble calling of teaching our children, they should be free from all other responsibilities in society so they can monopolize their time in the most important profession of all. They should only pay minimal taxes as an incentive, given free medical care and all if not most benefits. I would like to be as clear as possible. We need to have the best educators of our children because our societies future always depends on the children.

      Most politicians and government leaders make an exorbitant amount of money legally and illegally. The Church is exempted from taxes. Most doctors and attorneys cannot pay the right amounts of tax because of collection failures so to speak. Politicians and government leaders are repeatedly exposed to fraud and abuse of authority, an educator cannot do this because they hold no such power over society. The Church is run as an enterprise but does not pay taxes, yet a teacher with their minimum salary pays. Doctors and lawyers sometimes evade taxes even with their high revenues, an educator cannot avoid taxes because their pay is fixed to an internal tax scale. The military, although not paid in equivalent to their service towards the country, does have a high-value benefits plan in kind. Educators should have the same. We can afford to pay other professions and give benefits to other organizations, can our teachers be rewarded with the same?

      These young graduates will then join the Circus of working life and dedicate most of the best years of their life to their chosen fields. They will earn, be promoted and be used by different companies. These companies will gain ten-fold because of the talents of these employees. After their careers, their employers will then send them out to pasture.

      Education, employment, and retirement is the most traveled path in our modern way of living. This is analogous with the analogy of having 4 legs in the early morning, 2 legs at high noon and 3 legs at twilight.

      Education will always be a requirement for success, that's a given! However, ways of receiving an education may vary. Some people receive their education in a strict classroom environment, and some have graduated from the school of hard knocks. Besides the different venues of study, the times and scheduling of studies can also differ. Some are educated in early life, and some are taught later in life. Some people never stop and instead continue to be trained while employed and even during retirement. We can debate which system is more usable and practical until our twilight years. So, let's not, we can just agree that regardless of what type of education, both or a combination of all will lead to employment.

      I prefer continuing education, regardless. I read every book either a paperbound or electronically formatted book which I can find for the subject matter, I am interested in. I scan periodicals and newspapers for articles that will add to my knowledge. I have found that reading blogs of experts in functional websites online are very rewarding because these are specialists in the subject matters which I freely have access to. I do not waste my time with tasteless and brain-dead television programs or internet shows, or the like. Everything that I put into my mind supports the goal that I follow. I would rather read than listen to a friend jabber about nonsense. I do like participating in interesting conversations and sometimes humorous exploits. Life is just too short for small talk and nonsense.

      Formal education can be continued through online classes and correspondence courses. A higher degree or a second Certificate, Associate, Bachelors, Masters or PhD degree may be one of your choices. The goal is to remain updated in your chosen fields. Sometimes a brunch seminar, a trade show or even a weekend convention mixed with some pleasure can be very rewarding.

      The internet is a goldmine of information. Sometimes I watch Youtube and find credible experts from colleges, universities or government extension organizations which produce very informative videos on any subject matter. I have recently contacted a Church requesting information which I believe that they are a subject matter on. I offered my services in their project just to edit their power-point presentation. It took me 2 to 3 hours of my professional time, and we both reaped the rewards of the presentation. There's a world full of experts, and I recommend finding them, eventually with close ties, they will find you when your expertise are needed.
