      In a time-span of a few years, various works on the Science of the Mind have been born from the electrochemical impulses of my brain. Many of these works, roam around the apparently mystical domain of God and Religion. That is because I have encountered up close, what humanity gloriously venerates as God. And as it turns out I am not the only one who has been immersed in God. History of humanity has seen various such individuals. And upon the foundation of their divine encounter, various distinct circles of ideals, beliefs and fantasies were born. Eventually the human population on earth started to hail these closed cocoons as Religions.

      In fact, if I had been born in the medieval times, my subjective union with God and the Universe would have evoked the rise of another Gnostic religion. But, by the grace of Mother Nature, I am born in an era of Science and Reasoning. Hence, I have dissected my own experience of Absolute Divinity as well as the experiences of all the religious giants in my works, in order to discover the physical truth underneath these apparently supernatural experiences.

      In this book, it is time for my friend Jesus to explain himself. However, since we don’t have him in our midst at the moment, I will be doing the explanation for him on his behalf. He was a good person, with his own little shortcomings. After all, he was a human being, and as such he couldn’t be completely free from flaws. But compared to the rest of the medieval society at that time, we can unmistakably say, he was pretty much flawless. He came tantalizingly close to the perfection of human nature.

      The reality is, even the greatest human beings have flaws, and that’s exactly what makes them humans. It is plain biological evolution. And when an institution claims a person to be totally flawless, it means that the institution has some sort of selfish interest in maintaining a flawless and apparently divine image of that person. Here the person is Jesus, and the institution is the Church.

      Like a true representative of thinking and compassionate humanity Jesus wanted to eradicate the contemporary religious dogmatism and all the evils that were caused by it. While the Church on the other hand, constructed a whole new system of doctrines by exploiting Christ’s desire for a new reformed society. Christ’s desire to see religious flexibility in the society inadvertently ended up laying the groundwork for yet another rigid system of religious orthodoxy.

      Chapter 1: INTRODUCTION

      What does it really mean by being human? What kind of characteristic traits do we refer to when we say we are humans? Do we refer to our unique intelligence as a biological species, or do we refer to our uniquely emotional mental lives? What is it really that sets us apart from the rest of the animal kingdom? What is it really that makes us the most advanced species on earth? If you think it is our intelligence, then you are mistaken.

      Our intelligence is indeed uniquely advanced, beyond the wildest instincts of any other living creature, but that does not make us the most advanced species. Because, if intelligence is the only standard of measuring advancement, then we are not the most advanced entities on earth. It is the machines that we created, which are far more advanced than our own intellectual faculties.

      What makes us the best of all entities, be it biological or technological, is our uniquely mesmerizing combination of intelligence and emotions. The animal kingdom has too much wild and raw emotions, but little intellectual faculty. On the other hand, the machines have too much analytical faculty but no emotional element. Unlike both of these entities, we the Homo sapiens, are the perfect blend of intellect and emotions.

      However, the term perfect is really irrelevant in Biological Sciences, because everything in Nature is far from perfect. Perfection is not a stronghold of Mother Nature. On this planet, nothing is perfect. Yet we crave for perfection. Especially, biological life on this planet is definitely far from perfect. We are not perfect. And that is where the process of evolution comes in. Life on earth including us the sapiens, keeps evolving from an imperfect form to a less imperfect form. So, we keep going in the path of getting less and less imperfect.

      The process of evolution is a relentless journey from imperfection towards perfection. This perfection is defined by its survival value. And those who can't keep up with the process, get extinct. That's how natural selection works. Either you are a winner, or you lose your license to survive on this planet. It is the very basis of biology. And biology is the bedrock of life.

      When a biological species evolves, in order to adapt to its environment, it adopts some new biological features and gets rid of the unnecessary ones. And this process of adoption and exclusion of biological traits is a crucial element in the path of survival. And it has been going on since the birth of the very first life form on this planet, and shall go on in the future.

      Human life is a hodge-podge of various such biological traits. However, the features that distinguish humanity from the rest of the species on this planet are those of our uniquely advanced neurobiology. Our very pride on being the smartest as well as the most emotional species on earth is predicated on a highly complex and magnificent neurobiology. Our fascinating neural anatomy sets us apart from the entire animal kingdom. Without our advanced neural network comprising a hundred billion nerve cells, we are nothing compared to the brawns of the wild animals.

      And this very neurobiology has endowed us with a majestic system, called the human mind. It has endowed the mind with uniquely magnificent cognitive and sentimental qualities that can be hailed as typically human. The very heart of this neurobiology, i.e. a 3 pounds lump of jelly, which we call the human brain, is the birthplace of all our extraordinary achievements.

      Human Brain is the most complex organized structure in this entire universe. It is made up of a hundred billion nerve cells or neurons. The relentless activity of these neurons gives rise to all the richness of our conscious experience. All our feelings, emotions, thoughts, ambitions, love lives, our sense of self, and even our religious sentiments are simply born from the activity of these little specks of jelly in our head.

      All our sentiments - religious, romantic or any other - are born in the neurons. Whether you fall in love, taste your first kiss, feel your first consummation of love, or pray to your personal god for support in life, it all becomes possible in your mind because of distinct underlying neurological functioning. Religion itself is a natural characteristic of the human brain. And as I said earlier, any biological life-form must evolve in order to survive, while modifying its traits. And one of the most significant psychological traits of humanity is its religious sentiments. Hence, when Mother Nature decides that some of those sentiments are not working properly, she puts selective pressure on the human brain in order to modify those sentiments, and if needed,
