    Preface

Abbey poured herself a glass of wine and sat down at the kitchen table. The divorce papers lay on the table in front of her. Abbey opened the envelope and pulled the papers out. She looked at them and what they meant

Abbey grabbed a pen, and turned to the last page where her signature was needed. She took a sip of wine and put her pen to the paper.

After taking a bath and getting into shorts and a t-shirt again, she pulled out her phone and texted, I changed my mind, do you want to come over?

Her phone chirped back at her, I’ll be right there.

    Chapter 1

Ten minutes later, Abbey heard the knock from the front door. She opened it and smiled, Hi.

    Hi.

Come on in. She said opening the door for him.

I was surprised to get your text.

I have something for you. Abbey said walking into the kitchen and held out the envelope.

Tim took the envelope, So, it’s final huh?

    Yes, it’s final.

Tim looked down, Are you sure about your decision?

I’ve thought a lot about it and I’ve decided this is the best thing. We need to work on moving past this, don’t you agree?

About moving past this yes, but it’s just so final, so over.

I thought you would be happier.

Happier, why would I be happy? We’re getting a divorce.

Abbey smiled, I didn’t sign the papers Tim.

Tim looked at her in surprise, opened the envelope, pulling out the paper and flipped to the last page. Instead of her signature, there was just one word.

    Never.

    Tim smiled, Why?

    Why didn’t I sign them?

    Tim nodded

For a few reasons. One, I love you. Two, I can’t live without you. Three, we belong together. It’s that simple. But listen, there is a lot of stiff we need to work through. We are going to counseling whether you like it or not. It’s going to take time, and it might be months or years before I can trust you again. It’s not going to be easy. You may want to divorce after what I’m going to put you through.

Tim threw the papers on the kitchen table, and grabbed her in a hug, I will never want a divorce from you and I’ll do anything you ask me to do.

    You say that now.

Tim pulled back and looked her in the eye, I’ll say that every day. I am so happy Abbey.

"Good, now go back to Vic’s and kiss my son for
