FOREWORD
I am a paranormal investigator (ghost hunter), and for a few years, my husband and I did investigations and Halloween hauntings tours in small southern towns.
Many people still don’t believe in ghosts or spirits, but with TV shows like Medium
, Ghost Whisperer
, Coast to Coast with John Edward
and The Long Island Medium
(to name a few) believing in sprits and ghosts it is getting to be a bit more mainstream, and not regarded as so nonsensical
any more.
These are some of the things that have happened either to me, or to friends of mine. I hope that you enjoy them, and learn a little bit about how life is on the other side.
Some of the details may have changed, based on my memory, but the stories are true.
Thanks to Kathy Westerman, of R.I.P. (Researchers Into the Paranormal), in Florida, for letting me use the paranormal investigation stories we did with her group. Thanks also to my husband, Joe, for not complaining (too much) when I sat up writing it till 5am, some days.
DEDICATION
This book is dedicated to my mother, who left this earth way too soon, and to my husband, Joe, who now wants me to write another book, or two, or three…

When I was younger, my uncle (mother's brother) and aunt bought a beautiful old colonial home in upstate New York. It was a lovely, comfortable family home and felt very welcoming, sitting on a hill, overlooking nature.
They had no idea that the house was haunted, until they started to remodel and renovate it, including paint and wallpaper. My uncle had a come-along in the attic, a farm tool, really, used to straighten fence posts, and in this case, support beams for the house. It consists of metal posts and chains with a winch to pull the chains tight to straighten up the beams.
One day they heard this awful racket, scraping and bumping, in the attic. My uncle raced upstairs to see what the heck was going on, and the come-along had been dragged thru the dust in the attic from one side to the other. There were no other living people in the house at the time. That unnerved them a little bit, but it was their
