Working full time building a UK regulatory compliance consultancy doesn't leave much spare time, however the skills and knowledge I use in my business life have a value to others and their development. To get where I have got to, I have studied, attended, listened and viewed many self-help videos, seminars, courses, books and tape/CD programs and have found certain parts, when applied to my values and standards, actually work well.As a small businessman who relies on the internet, cloud and mobile communications, you learn some trick and tips across the years that can drive traffic to your sites, including social media and other advertising. Once that traffic arrives, often more information arrives from other sources, and it is a skill to separate out the wheat from the chaff.I like to share these learning with people and love to get feedback from people where they have gained a result from following my advice. I am often asked why and how I get so much done and the simple answer is, because I want to achieve my goals, and fulfil my promises that I make to others.I do not profess to be a guru, specialist, hyper-intelligent or even clever, but by using things that make sense to me, trying and testing, tweaking and amending, over time, I have made some winning formulas in my life and love to share these with real, committed and excited people who really want to achieve their goals, plan their future and design a life. My passion is to help other people get pleasure and enjoy their time in this reality. Please visit my blog at www.leewerrell.co.uk/blog or look me up at www.Amazon.co.uk to review all my books.

About The Author
Introduction
Ok, so we know what we have to do to be successful in life. We know all about a positive mental attitude and thinking the positive about all things we encounter. We know about self-control and discipline to take up tasks in priority and to execute them until the many deeds are done and we are closer to our target. We know how to set goals and make a fantastic daily, weekly and monthly plan for their achievement. We know all about time management and can itemise our activity down to ten minute blocks and allocate our time so efficiently, sometimes we feel that we don’t even need to be there.
So what’s the problem? Level with me; why aren’t you successful already?
Many years ago I was introduced to Goal Setting and the power of having personal goals. You came equipped with probably the most fantastic yet mystifying tool that is known to science, and yet most of us do not use it anywhere near enough. Considered as just a part of your body, most people do not value what they have between their ears, because it came to them totally free. The twist that the creator added was that you were not given a user manual, and so you have to work it out for yourself.
As most people are inherently lazy, they don’t even bother to try and work out what powers they control. It’s like winning a big chest of treasure in a competition, that is locked up with a combination lock and just walking around spinning the dial in the front, hoping to hit on the lucky
combination.
So some years back, I started determining what I could about how to be prosperous and build a row of achievements. As a very rational, logical person, working in an environment that actually depends on rules, guidelines and best practices, I looked to breakdown the process, so that I, and others, could understand it. Now, none of this, I learnt, was new. In fact, most of what I learned had its roots in the bible and other early religious teachings as well as early literature, and had been commented on throughout the ages.
"Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you" Matthew 7:7
"As a man thinks in his heart, so is he".
Proverbs 23:7
"Along with success comes a reputation for wisdom."
Euripides
"They can because they think they can."
Virgil
"The secret of success in life is for a man to be ready for his opportunity when it comes."
Disraeli, Earl of Beaconsfield
"The talent of success is nothing more than doing what you can do, well."
Henry W. Longfellow
"To climb steep hills requires a slow pace at first."
William Shakespeare
"Try not to become a man of success but a man of value."
Albert Einstein
"A wise man will make more opportunities than he finds."
Francis Bacon
Only describable as indiscernible, the traces of change were not immediately evident and I could not tell you the moment or day, week or even month that things started to change, but change they did. The world had not changed. My work had not changed. But things changed for me. How? Quite simply the change was due to my personal outlook on the world and its events. It was not what I saw, but the way in what I saw. It was not what happened to me, but the way I interpreted to myself what had happened to me.
Now I am living in a prosperity consciousness where money is just a tool, my goals and my vision beyond those goals is so crystal clear in my mind, I really have to pinch myself to remind myself that it is not a dream, it is my success world that I live in. It is so easy to comprehend, that it took me years to understand. Hopefully you will not take as long as I did to realise the secret. In fact, if you stick to the plan, you will see marked differences in just one month from today.
Chapter 1: The Meaning of Success
Success in a month?
Yes, you can eat, sleep and drink success at a subconscious level and it will be programmed into your mind so that you will do the actions required without thinking about them. In other words, you will have a routine, a habit set up and embedded in your mind that you will effortlessly do the things you know you have to do, when you have to do them. On a conscious level you’ll be too busy to focus on success.
First of all we need to establish what success is, as the word itself is used as a noun, quite incorrectly in most cases, as it should be used as a verb. Success is often confused with obtaining riches or gaining wealth. You must be clear that, although it seems like a cliché, success is actually the journey.
Modern day living has advanced so far, and become so complex, that even the most ordinary person needs a substantial amount of wealth in order to live in a manner that is close to acceptable. Everybody has a built in desire to want to become all that they are capable of becoming. This inherent desire to realise individual possibilities is human nature; we cannot help wanting to be all that we can be. Success in life is becoming what you need to become to help other people. You can only do this by the use of tangible objects to broaden your understanding of people and life. The most essential ingredient to your success is the understanding of the actual science of getting rich.
There is nothing wrong in wanting to get rich. There are three motives for which we live; we live for the body, we live for the mind, we live for the soul. No single area is better or worse than the other; there is no hierarchy here. None of them can develop fully if either of the others is cheated of its rightful quotient.
A person’s highest degree of happiness is found in the giving benefits to those he loves; love finds its most natural and spontaneous expression in giving. The person who has nothing to give cannot fill their place as a spouse, parent, citizen, or as a whole person. It is perfectly right that you should desire to be rich; if you are a normal person you cannot help doing so. It is perfectly right that you should give your best attention to the science of getting rich.
You can get rich in any business. If you do not the right skills or talents that you need for a specific business, you can develop that talent. You will have to make the tools of your success as you learn, expanding your knowledge, instead of confining yourself to the use of those with which you were born with, or worse still, conditioned into using with certain limitations. It may be easier for you to succeed in a position for which you already have the talents in a well-developed state; but you can succeed in anything. You can develop any skill or knowledge or understanding by reading, listening to audio programs or attending classes.
You will undoubtedly succeed and get rich if you do work for which you are best equipped; but you will get the most satisfaction from getting rich if you do it by doing something you want to do.
Doing what you want to do is a life chosen by you; and there is no satisfaction in doing anything if we are forced, by lack of choice or otherwise, to do something which we don’t like to do. Conditioning is often the cause of this, and I know this because I was always told that people like us don’t do (have or be) that
, people like us don’t do ‘that’
and a whole load of other beliefs that I bought into. Napoleon Hill, probably considered by many to be the grandfather of current self-development or personal improvement programs said that Whatever a person’s mind can conceive and believe they can achieve
.
When I first heard that I thought that he was saying that you have to have belief in what you want to accomplish, but I was so wrong! The truth is exactly what he says. It is absolutely true and accurate that you can do what you want to do; the desire to do it is proof in itself that you have within you the power which can do it. Desire is a manifestation of power.
Many may venture into this crazy mixed up, working all hours, active world and think they have arrived. They satisfy their esteem and their status is seen to be higher than ever before, yet these people are the many losers who think that success is a destination. They arrive and stop to survey their kingdom, only to find the down escalator they have been scrabbling up, has taken them backwards and downwards again, to barely above where they started out from. Many decide to stay here, the effort required to climb the ladder of success is too much for them. It is not a must, it was just nice while it lasted. They feel happier back in their hierarchal social groupings.
The top 5% of people reach the top of the tree and are continually successful. They believe that success is an ever ongoing journey, which often means giving more to achieve a fraction of advancement; that having more means giving more; that to be anything you have to be the best; that being the entrepreneur they think they are means risking all on educated and calculated planning for achievement of their goals, sometimes ruthlessly. These are the people that realise a goal is merely a stepping-stone to a bigger and better goal. Sometimes they appear as lone-wolf types or go givers who suffer huge setbacks. These people often lose their fortune, career or family, but they keep trying. They don’t need the praise or appreciation of their family or peer’s, because they know they have it, unreservedly. They don’t stop setting goals when they achieve them; they make bigger, wider, better ones. They don’t look to see what it costs them to succeed; they know they will receive many times their expense by simply giving more and better value to their customers, faster and more efficiently.
Do these top 5% of people spend all their time at work? No. They will have more frequent holidays. They will spend every weekend with their family. So what makes these achievers, these lone wolf types get to where they want to go? Belief that they can do it. Simply that they know they can have, must have, whatever they have decided on.
"Success is something you attract by the person you become." Jim Rohn (late)
If that is true, why aren’t there more successful people around?
People that I knew; people that were logical, hardworking, decent, honest, intelligent and mainly struggling, in more ways than financially, positively refused to accept abundance in their lives. This was bizarre, and in my view nothing could be more tragic, than untapped potential, unfulfilled happiness, and unclaimed prosperity for the sake of
