      Introduction

      The world is a strange and ever-changing place. As of this writing, we are facing a wide range of natural, economic and political disasters. At a moment's notice, we could be informed of a natural disaster, terrorist attack, political uprising or something totally off the grid no one can even imagine. When these events occur, we are going to be taken off guard. Panic, stress and a whole slew of other emotions fill overwhelm us and those of us who are caught unprepared will have to scramble to fight for survival.

      Now I am sure that many of you reading this book have seen all of those end of the world movies where aliens attack the Earth, the polar ice caps melt, a foreign government collapses or some other off the world scenario that seems to be resolved in two hours occurs. Well, I don’t think that we are in danger of alien invasion or some government taking over our country anytime soon but there are real dangers and real situation where you will need to get out of dodge as it were at a moment’s notice.

      When you come across these situations, you really don’t have time to react. You need to grab what you can, get into a vehicle and get moving. Many people call it bugging out.

      Now if you don’t want to be caught unprepared, you need to read through this book from cover to cover making notes and developing a plan. When you think and prepare, now you are going to be ahead of the game. You will have a plan and hopefully a few plans that you can follow in which you can save yourself. In this book, we will talk about an essential piece of equipment that you will need. It is called a bug out bag. In this bag, you will have your essentials in order to survive for a minimum of 72 hours (3 days).
