      Numbers rule all things. –Pythagoras

      Numbers are the highest degree of knowledge. –Plato

      History regards Plato and Pythagoras as a couple of really smart guys. Plato is referred to by many as the father of western philosophy. Pythagoras’ teachings had a formative influence on Plato. And as you see in their quotations above, both of these men had a particularly high regard for numbers.

      Numbers are everywhere. They surround us. They’re important indeed. A visit to your doctor’s office begins with numbers: your height, weight, temperature, pulse and blood-pressure. Be certain the visit ends with numbers too—the doctor’s bill!

      God’s Favorite Number

      When you were a kid, you likely had a favorite or a lucky number. What was it? Do you remember? When I was a young fellow, the number two was mine. I don’t recall why. I just liked it.

      This brief book is about God’s favorite number—the number seven.
