About this ebook

Marah: the coming famine and the world’s greatest revival, is a book birthed from the deep groanings of the Spirit. It is a cry of the Spirit to the body of Christ and the world at large calling them to a much deeper level of intimacy with God. God has so much to give, but we need to earnestly desire to be fed. God wants to feed us from His mouth and his hand. The hidden manna Jesus promises to feed the overcomers in the book of Revelation is being served to us lavishly. The bread of heaven is available to all who are hungry and thirsty. You need to be hungry in order to eat of it.

This book is written to those who may be in a wilderness of life, or are experiencing a dryness in spirit. The book stretches further to reach out to the world, as a blood-dipped spear to pierce hearts of men so that they may come to God. The author explains why certain things are allowed to happen by God. He shows you the divinely orchestrated situations that act as wake up calls to a sleeper groping in darkness; overwhelmed by the world and its pleasures. Theos Olivet takes you on journey in the shoes of the children of Israel as they made their trek from Egypt to Marah and then to Elim. In it, He explains the symbolic patterns of revival waves of the church age. He expounds on the 5 main revivals that the church has experienced and the eminent one - which will be the greatest the Church has ever seen.
With every chapter, Theos Olivet illustrates the ascendency of the prophetic move of the children as symbolically typifying the march of the church from the book of Acts till the end times. The ascendency reveals paradigm and dimensional shifts of consciousness and perspectives through an increase in the depth of revelation knowledge and insights into realities. The pattern shows you where we are in the timeline of divine events in the church age.

The book is a trumpet sounding forth divine lurings of God. The sound says, “Come up higher.” God is calling His people to a higher dimension in the things of the spirit. There is a higher plane in God to reach to. There is a depth, bottomless in its nature, that we are supposed to experience in God. Theos Olivet shows you the roadmap to it. As you read the book, you will come before the mirror of the Word and check yourself for anything that may be a stumbling block to a fruitful and vibrant walk with God in the Spirit - which you must get rid of urgently. This book will definitely stir up, fan to flame as it were, the hunger for the Word and the thirst for God’s presence in the reader.

Marah will bring you into the center of the revival process where you will experience the depth in God that you have never experienced before. Learn how you can greatly progress in your walk with the Spirit. Get supercharged in the inner man as you dive into uniquely illustrated insights of the Word. Discover the 5 main revivals of the church and the eminent greatest revival that is about to hit the whole world - the Revival of Sonship. Discover the real you; have your identity redefined and your destiny reshaped. Learn how you can live in the Father’s heart and experience the pleasures of it on a daily basis. Learn how you can live a naturally prophetic life beyond needs. And receive an impartation of hunger for God.

    Prologue

There can never be real revival without an unassuaged hunger and thirst for God. It is a burning hot hunger for the divine that causes people to cry out to God desperately for His presence and anointed Word. Bill Johnson says ‘it’s unnatural not to have an appetite for the supernatural’. If one had no appetite or lost it, then there is need to restore it. The restoration of the appetite for the supernatural is the first step into initiating a revival process.

A few years ago, I was divinely granted a visitation by God. In it, God told me that He can do so much with a man that has completely surrendered himself to Him. He said that the reason many were not seeing mighty manifestations in their lives and ministry was because of the flesh. The flesh has been a great hindrance to many. It has caused many to walk in carnality and partiality about the things of God. He continued to say that how much one can accomplish for God is directly proportional to how much yielded to God they are. How much of you that you give to God determines how much of the Spirit you will enjoy.

Hunger and thirst for God is the divine mechanism for bringing you to a place of yielding to the motions and emotions of the Spirit of God. The more you hunger and thirst for God, and seek Him, the more of the flesh will be ripped off. The more the flesh gets ripped off, the more of God you will be able to emit and transmit to your environs. God is unlimited. He can do so much for and with you. It all depends on your yielding. The spiritual realm is loaded with unlimited possibilities and untapped potentialities. As you yield to God the possibilities translate into certainties.

The chapters that follow are loaded with revelations on very important scriptural truths. The discovery of these truths led to a transformation of my entire life and perspective on things; I believe your life will be transformed too. Certainly, repentance shall be activated as you read and ponder on the divinely inspired thoughts that are contained in the subsequent pages.

    Chapter 1

    The Allures Of God

So Moses brought Israel from the Red sea, and they went out into the wilderness of Shur; and they went three days in the wilderness, and found no water. And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they [were] bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah. And the people murmured against Moses, saying, what shall we drink? And he cried unto the LORD; and the LORD shewed him a tree, [which] when he had cast into the waters, the waters were made sweet: there he made for them a statute and an ordinance, and there he proved them.

    (Exodus 15:22-25)

The children of Israel navigated the wilderness for 3 days without water. At this time, I believe they were so thirsty for a drink. They needed a drink so desperately; so much longing for it like a deer pants for water. And then after a long and tedious walk in the burning heat of the desert, they found a stream of water. Oh, I can imagine the joy on their faces as they shouted, water; water at last! Rushing to the stream, they probably dipped themselves into it. Then, while spitting out the bitter water, they shouted, It’s bitter. What they had been keenly in quest of for days was bitter.

It is said that to the hungry, even something bitter is sweet, but not to the Israelites and certainly not at this juncture. They couldn’t just drink it. It was quite acrimonious to them.

They cried out to Moses. Moses reasoned with God, and then God showed Him a tree; which when dropped into the water, the water could be made sweet. The tree changed the taste of the water. What was bitter changed into something
