He has earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Texas State University, a Master’s Degree from the University of Phoenix, a second Master’s from the University of New Mexico, and was inducted into Phi Kappa Phi in 2011.       Author’s Note

      During my 27 years of military service, I not only took up the game of golf, but achieved and maintained a single digit handicap. This while uprooting my home 13 times, being deployed or away on special assignments (totaling over four years), a part of four major combat operations, and flying countless sensitive real world missions. Since personal time was at a high premium or simply non—existent, I developed ways to not only stay in touch with the game, but to also improve. Upon retiring from the military, after completing my second Graduate Degree, I was awarded a Class A Master Teaching Professional certification from the Professional Golf Teacher’s Association of America.

      Regardless of practice time available, if you consider the strategies, techniques, and perspectives presented within, I have no doubt, that you too will be able to shave off a few strokes, and take your game to a higher level. You may even come across a suggestion or perspective, which if applied, will have a positive and lasting impact in your daily life. Take your time as you go through this guide, and be sure to take good notes and highlight those areas which are especially important and applicable to you. You may even want to pay it forward and share some of the guidance presented within.
