Jet's Story: Finding My Forever Home

About this ebook
‘I was told this story after a huge romp on the beach with a handsome tall black shaggy dog called Jet. We had only just met on Stumers Creek beach in Queensland, Australia. The story was very personal for him and I felt honoured that he trusted me enough to share it. He told me the puppies in the story would be named Faith & Lucky by their first owners. I wondered if their names held a clue as to how the story might turn out.’ Lillie, a rescue dog herself, shares a story she was told, after a run on the beach, by a handsome Labradoodle called Jet. Full of surprises, giggles, tears and love, this book is dedicated to all the animals across the world who have found their forever homes and to those who still wait.

Jet's Story - Karen Mork
I was told this story after a huge romp on the beach with a handsome tall black shaggy dog called Jet.
We had only just met on Stumers Creek Beach, an off-lead dog beach in Coolum Beach, Queensland.
The story was very personal for him and I felt honoured that he trusted me enough to share it.
He told me the puppies in the story would be named
Faith & Lucky by their first owners.
I wondered if their names held a clue as to how the story might turn out.
Lillie 2016
Prologue
One grey morning, two puppies found themselves all alone. In a cage. In a pet shop. In a town on the Gold Coast, in south-eastern Queensland, Australia. All of their brothers and sisters had gone to forever homes.
They were the last two left. They were sad and lonely, but glad to be able to cuddle up and smell each others’ familiar smell; feel each other’s familiar warm curly fur and wet nose.
When the shop opened and the nice man and lady who owned the shop came in, they fed the puppies, changed their water, gave them a little tickle and began doing other jobs. They didn’t have time to play with the puppies as they had lots to do before customers began to come
