College Prep Checklist At-A Glance Covered in This Book
1.Know what your personal motivation is for wanting to attend college.
2.Determine your college and career goals and chart your plan.
3.Take challenging classes that promote college readiness. See your Academic counselor for help and take the PLAN if necessary.
4.Research colleges that would best prepare you for the career you would like to pursuit.
5.Learn and maintain good study habits to maintain grades of A or B or a G.P.A of 3.85 or better.
6.Start studying for the ACT, PSAT/NMSQT or the SAT. Don’t forget to brush up on reading and writing skills for essays.
7.Select an organization and get involved in your community.
8.Get involved in extra-curricular activities at school (i.e., music, art, sports, etc.)
9.Determine who will be a part of your support system through school.
10.Learn how to finance your college education.
