      Monday – Cory

      I slept in late on Monday, which was frustrating because I had a lot to do. Above all, I wanted to go to see Danny so that I could talk to him about the drugs I had found when we were at the party at Sky’s old home.

      I rolled out of bed quickly and stretched, before I got dressed and headed downstairs. I’d missed my mom making breakfast, but she’d left me some pancakes in the fridge that were ready to be heated up. I turned on the microwave and walked over to the coffee maker, so that I could fill it and turn it on.

      Cory, is that you? My mom called through from the living room.

      Yeah, it’s me, I called back, although I don’t know who else she might have been expecting in her kitchen. I overslept.
