About this ebook

Romance - Comedy - Mystery - Sex (explicit - 18+)
***LUCY
: She's perfectly happy living with her dog (named Bear) and her two horses (Trixie & Ditto) in her fixer-upper cabin in the mountains. She's seen some weird stuff going on out in the woods, but has given up even thinking about that - until Lucky Dawg shows up at her door (yes, his last name really is DAWG!).
***LUCKY: He has a few funny male quirks - it's a guy thing. He's decided to write online articles about some of the weird happenings in the world (mostly to prove that they're "natural" happenings), and Lucy is his first attempt to write an article.
***Will Lucy even speak with Lucky when he shows up at her door? How will Bear react?
***Is it just some weirdos riding 4-wheelers through the woods having fun spooking Lucy, as Lucky originally thinks from reading the small article on the internet -or- something more sinister?
***Happy-Ever-After ending.  1st book in the series, but a very stand alone read.

    Romantic Comedy Series

    Volume  I

I WAS HOOKED FROM THE first page. The characters were easy to fall in love with and follow. If you are looking for a new romance, this is it!

Some sexy moments that definitely delivered and I'd love to see a follow-up to this one.

I was really happy with the way they like to make each other crazy... Lots of intimacy and the sex is very well described without being crude. Wow... loved it. Highly recommended.

This was a modern romantic comedy with some paranormal activity and mystery added in the mix. Definitely not just an average contemporary romance. The relationship was convincing and the romance was realistically steamy and sweet. Readers who enjoy mystery and romantic comedies will be sure to enjoy this.

Romance readers are in for a real treat with this book! Lucky Dawg Meets Lucky Lucy is a fun, yet sexy romance read intended for adult readers. I DO want more from Lucky Dawg and Lucky Lucy! I highly recommend this if you're looking for a hot romance read.

What a fun read! I really enjoyed seeing the couple's relationship develop. An adventurous, mysterious and at points, giggle out loud read.

This was a hot and steamy romance novel. And I was pleasantly surprised that the book is in the view point of the man, whose name is Lucky Dawg. I can’t wait to see where the next book takes them.

Cute-Cute-Cute! Lucky Dawg (really that's the character's name). This book was a very funny read. It was one of those reads where you lay back, relax and enjoy!

Fox delivers on characters: Together, Lucky and Lucy are electric.

    Chapter 1: Me

MY NAME IS LUCKY. I was born on Friday the 13th. My parents thought it was an appropriate name for me (and for them; they wanted a boy and got one on Friday the 13th). They also thought it was cute because their last name was Dawg (for real). Between both parents, I had ancestry consisting of British, German, and Black Foot Indian (Native American). I tried looking up the name Dawg to see where it came from (my parents had no idea), and couldn’t find any country that it was common to. There seem to be a few folks out there with the nickname of Dawg, but I can’t find a single other family with the lineage having the name of Dawg. It seems to have popped up here in the United States almost 200 years ago, but I can’t find anything online about my ancestry before that.

So, I got to spend my childhood years battling it out with all the other kids because my name was Lucky Dawg. Lots of fun times. Both mom & dad were uneducated and socially inept. It never occurred to them that this particular name set would ever be anything but cute. They’re both gone now and I’ve forgiven them. It isn’t their fault they grew up in relative poverty, didn’t get exposed to very much outside of their very limited lives and didn’t know squat about squat. Anyway, that’s me, Lucky Dawg.

Have I been lucky? That depends on who you ask, and when you ask it. Everyone gets lucky once in a while. Sometimes it’s a little luck happening to us; sometimes it’s a really lucky break that happens to us; but we all get lucky sometimes. I’ve had both. I’ve had times when I threw my disc right into a tree (when playing disc golf with one of my sons) and had it bounce off the tree and land right under the basket for a gimme putt. I’ve had times when I took my kids fishing and had one of them catch more than a hundred sunfish or a really big fish. Made it look like I knew when and where to take them - just luck. When one of my daughters was young she got some chewed up potato-chips stuck in her windpipe. I happened to be in the same room, saw her choking, did the Heimlich thing and watched the chunk of potato-chip fly across the room; that was big luck! Oh, and I clicked through the PCH on-line page once and was visited by them in the evening a couple of months later to be awarded a $5,000 A Week For Life grand prize; big luck! I’m not rich or anything, but can live comfortably for the rest of my life if I don’t do anything financially stupid. Last, but not least, I have four kids, two biological and two adopted. All four of them are fantastic adults now and I love them dearly, more great luck!

Since I don’t actually have to work for a living, I pretty much get to do what I want with my time. I found out fairly quickly, though, that I have to have something to do or I get bored - really bored. I try to spend some time with my kids. I fish for fun and sometimes play disc golf. But I finally figured out that I have to have something to do that feels productive, something to be involved with that holds my interest long-term. I have a few friends that are girls, but no actually girlfriend, no significant other, so that part of my life wasn’t providing me with anything worthwhile to do.

I’m a reader. I really love science, science fiction and supernatural stuff. I’m a skeptic when it comes to the supernatural / paranormal stuff, but I still love to read about it. Over the winter, while spending more time on the internet, I found an online magazine specializing in some of the science fiction and paranormal stuff. I read through a lot of their postings, and decided to inquire about my getting involved. They told me to send them something, that they would review it and let me know. I had nothing, of course. I’ve never done anything or gone anywhere specifically to study this type of thing. If I wanted to get involved, I was going to have to get out there and look into some occurrences for myself.

It took a couple of months and I’d almost forgotten about it, but I was reading something on the internet about a gal who was seeing some strange stuff in upstate New York. Stuff like little strange creatures trying not to be seen, trails through the woods that were clean one day but just suddenly closed up the next day – seemingly for no reason. She saw little carts, kind of zipping quickly through the woods, and she swears one of those carts ran flat out into a lake and then just disappeared. Nobody in the area wanted to take her seriously. She had tried several times, unsuccessfully, to get pictures. They were always too blurry to really work with.

The article I was reading gave her first and last name, but try as I might, I couldn’t come up with her street address or phone number. She lives in the Potsdam, New York area, which is seriously upstate, almost in Canada. You can’t easily fly into that area. It’s the Adirondack Mountains and it’s all small towns. Besides, I don’t fly when I can help it. I usually have plenty of time on my hands and prefer driving myself when I can. That means I can haul all my stuff with me that I might want at my destination. I’m in central Ohio, so it was going to be a long drive, but I was heading to the Adirondacks and check this out!

    Chapter 2: The Trip

I TOOK WHAT’S KIND of the long way there because I had made this trip a few times in my old working days, and know the most pleasant way to get from central Ohio to Canton, New York. I had to work in Canton a few times and Potsdam is really close. I drove up I-71 north to I-76 east (turnpike) to I-80 east and across Pennsylvania to I-81 north. It’s all highways, so no speed problems, and eighty percent of this drive is absolutely beautiful with hills, woods, water, sightings of deer and lots of birds. None of the towns you have to drive close to are much of a problem because you’re actually going around them, not through them.

When you hit the Watertown, New York area you do have to get off the major highways and that’s a little slower going. Along the major highways there are plenty of places to stop and get food or drink, pee, and take a short nap when you need it. Over the years I’ve learned that I can usually go seven or eight hours and then I just need a driving break. I stop, get food and drink, pee, and lay the seat back in my Suburban with a pillow to nap. I usually only need an hour or so, but once I made it to the Binghamton, New York area on this trip, I ended up taking about a 3 hour nap. I didn’t plan to, but just didn’t wake up as quickly as I expected.

Just on the north side of Watertown, you have to cut over onto Route 11 and head east. Driving is much slower on Route 11 because of slower speed limits, slower drivers, etc. You get stuck behind farm equipment or logging trucks, and there are a bunch of small towns to pass through. It’s a beautiful drive, just slower. As I was driving through Canton, I thought about stopping just to look around a little. Nostalgia, you know. But, it was getting late and I decided to just keep going on to Potsdam.

I had done my internet research, found what looked like a nice little family-owned motel, had a reservation, and was ready for a decent night’s sleep in a real bed. When checking the motels in the area, I almost did the Hampton Inn. I have a card for them and have used them in a lot of my business trips. They’re great for business travelers. But I decided to use the local smaller motel because it had great reviews on the internet, was less money, and just felt like it would help
