Introduction
Words ~ Candice James
I do it for the sheer divine madness
And passionate love affair I have with words.
I don’t do it for the money.
I do it to paint:
A pale crepe paper yellow moon
Shining through the river’s soul.
A feathered blue sky of wings
Chasing clouds as they roll.
A whitecap wave crashing on a sandy shoreline.
A star dusted night shedding silver flecked wine.
A Sunkist blade of grass gleaming with dew.
A blood red rose resting beneath the blue
Against the stained glass windows of my soul.
Like wild waves crashing on reef and shoal
A brilliant imagery spills and pours
Through a maze of majestic mahogany doors.
Living words on walls, ceilings and floors.
Birthing new paths of wisdom and glory
Inspiration’s child delivers a story.
Imagination unleashes its maze
Onto virgin pristine paper ablaze,
But,
In some cases the child is a poem,
A long lost memory calling me home.
I
