About this ebook

It is in this lucid manner that this book will teach you adjectives.
Adjective is of different types. They are attributive, predicative, post-modifying and substantive adjectives.
It clearly explains the attributive adjective. Attributive adjective is the one that is used only before a noun. Such adjective is said to pre-modify a noun in a sentence.
It analyzes the predicative adjective. Predicative adjective is the one that is used only after a verb. Predicative adjective completes the meaning of a verb and appears alone or without a noun following it.
It appraises the post-modifying adjective. Post-modifying adjective is the one that is used after a noun. Post-modifying adjective occurs immediately after a noun it modifies. It can exist as a single word, phrase or clause.
It evaluates substantive adjective. Substantive adjective is the one that is used as the head of a noun phrase. As the head of a noun phrase, substantive adjective performs the function of a noun in a sentence.
It examines the three degrees of comparing adjectives. They are positive degree, comparative degree and superlative degree. These degrees of comparison can be obtained in various ways.
It identifies the order that adjectives are expected to follow in order to give a clear qualification of a noun. Adjectives are not positioned in a disorderly way. Group one comes first followed by groups two, three, four, five, six, seven and eight.
