Feel what it is to be cursed with immortality. See what it is like to so long for something yet be filled with so much hate for it as well. Crimson Drops of Darkness - Christopher Goben
A BEAST I AM
LOOK INTO THE MIRROR, YET NO REFLECTION OF MYSELF DO I SEE.
A HORRIBLE MONSTER STILL LURKS BACK, FOR HE IS THE IMAGE OF ME.
TO LONG MY DARKENED HEART HAS WISHED FOR NOTHING BUT THE SLAIN.
OH HOW FOOLISH THEY MUST TRULY BE NOT TO SEE THAT I BRING PAIN.
A MADMAN BENT ON THE DESIRES OF MY MIND HAS BECOME I.
HOW IS IT THEY SEE THE REFLECTION OF THE MAN THAT ONCE WAS I.
TOO MANY COME LOOKING FOR THE LOVABLE LOVER WHO MIGHT CARE.
ONLY TO FIND THE HIDDEN BEAST WHO THEIR LIVES I WILL NOT SPARE.
A LOST SOUL OF A POET OF THE NIGHT THEY CALL OF ME THE SAME.
ALL TO TAME, MY WORDS LURE THEM LIKE A MOTH TO A FLAME.
I PITY THEIR BATTERED AND WRETCHED SOULS AS I LAY DOWN TO REST.
TOO MANY LEFT BLOODIED AND BRUISED AT MY HANDY WORK AT BEST.
I WISH I COULD JUST WARD THEM AWAY, KEEP THEM FROM MY PLACE.
JOY THEN I WOULD FIND AS THEIR NECKS WOULD STAY FROM MY FACE.
THEIR LIFE FORCE NO LONGER TO TEMPT THE BEASTLY HUNGER OF SANITY.
OR TO IT WOULD SEEM IN THIS LONELY DARK WORLD OF MY INSANITY.
THAT A LORD, SUCH AS I MIGHT LIVE IN THE HOUR OF HIS LIFE SO FOUL.
TILL VENGEANCE COMES TO THY SHATTERED HEART AND TAINTED SOUL.
ONLY TO CLOSE MY EYES ONE LAST TIME IN THY GRAVE TO REST.
AND THE JUDGMENT OF MY WAYS COMES TO PASS FROM THE WEST.
I THEN KISS THE WORLD GOODBYE AND HOPE THEY ALL REMEMBER ME.
NOT FOR THE DARKENED BEAST I AM, BUT THE LOVING POET I USED TO BE.
A VAMPIRES KILL
AN ICE COLD CHILL RUNS UP MY SPINE.
SOMETHING TELLS ME THIS NIGHT WON'T BE FINE.
DOWN THE BARELY LIGHTED PASSAGE I WALK.
I TRY TO TELL MYSELF IT IS OK YET I CAN'T TALK.
KNOWING WELL THIS IS MY FINAL CONFRONTATION.
I PROCRASTINATE THIS FOR SEEN REVELATION.
SMELLS OF SMOKE LINGERS IN THE AIR.
ALONG WITH A FEELING OF SOMETHING UNFAIR.
A SHADOWED BODY LIES STILL TO THE GROUND.
ALL AROUND ME THERE IS NOT ONE SOUND.
I SEE NOW THE FRESH PUDDLE OF BLOOD.
AS THE CHILLS NOW RUN OVER ME LIKE A FLOOD.
THE SMOKE NOW LINGERS WITH DEATH IN THE AIR.
THERE IS THE BITTER TASTE OF FEAR EVERYWHERE.
I STAND NOW BEFORE THIS BODY SO DEAD.
THERE I CAN SEE THE FANG MARKS IN HIS HEAD.
MEAT RIPPED FROM THE BONE WITH A LITTLE FLESH.
WHILE THE SKIN IS STILL WARM, THE KILL IS FRESH.
I SEARCH THE CORPSE FOR A WEAPON TO AMUSE.
YET THERE IS NOTHING HERE FOR ME TO EVEN USE.
ONLY THE REMAINS OF A SMASHED VILE OF HOLY WATER.
CAUTIOUSLY I BECOME AWARE OF THE EYES OF MY STALKER.
TOO LATE NOW IS THE PAIN SO INTENSE THAT I SEE RED.
THERE IN THE BACK OF MY NECK I HAVE COME TO BLED.
I SPIN AROUND TO SEE THE FACE OF MY ADVERSARY.
BURNED BY THE WATER HE IS FANGED WITHOUT CHIVALRY.
INTO MY FACE HE MOCKS ME WITH AN EVIL HISS.
TO NO SURPRISE STRAIT DOWN MY LEG I HAVE TOOK A PISS.
HE NOW GLARES AT ME WITH A BEWILDERED EVIL LITTLE GRIN.
FEELING MY VERY SOUL WITH HIS DEMENTED, DEMONIC, SINS.
THE PAIN IN MY NECK AGAIN REPROCESSES LIKE HELL’S FIRE.
I DON'T HAVE THE STRENGTH FOR HE HAS WON HIS CHAOTIC DESIRE.
THE WORLD BEGINS TO SPIN LIKE THE MERRY GO ROUND IN THE PARK.
ALL TOO SOON MY SIGHT IS GONE, THE WORLD GROWS DARK.
FOR LIKE THE GYPSY CALLING, I HAVE FALLEN TO HIS EMPIRE.
ONLY TO ONCE MORE AWAKEN TO THE NIGHT AS A VAMPIRE.
AWAITING MY LOVE
I AM A LOST SOUL SO STRICKEN AND FILLED WITH GREAT SORROW AND SO ALONE.
AS I AM FOREVER CURSED BY THIS DARK WORLD FOR ALL THE EARTH HAS SHOWN.
BITTERNESS IS ALL THAT’S LEFT OF THESE TEARS OF MY DARK DECEPTION OF LONELY DISMAY.
TELL ME TO WHAT GREAT REASON MUST I LIVE, WHILE DEATH MUST NOT DELAY?
WHERE IS THE LIGHT OF MY PITIFUL LIFE, SHE WHO IS MY ONLY TRUE RAY OF HOPE?
HERE I AM NOW WATCHING WHILE SHADOWS SWAY LIKE THE NOSE OF THE ROPE.
TOO MUCH PAIN HAS COME TO MY DAYS IN MAKING OF THIS WEARY LOST SOUL.
FOR I NO MORE DO WISH TO NEITHER BE NOR TAKE PART AS ONE OF LIFE’S LONELY FOOLS.
CAN THERE
