RARE EARTH
EL had seen it all, so to speak. He had visited many ibee races on hundreds of planets in his own galaxy. He had experienced various phenomena and other dimensions. He had bypassed time and cheated death numerous times. Few ibees had witnessed the rising to life and falling to death of worlds like EL had. The Omniversal Hub Event in the CM (Creator Mind) dimension, was indeed a monumental, unprecedented experience. The CM was the highest of dimensions to which very few mere ibees had been given access. EL had been extended the privilege by a special favor of the Creator. He realized this fact more as his ability to access CM increased.
There was only one thing left on EL's list to see, and he still needed help to get to it. It was the rare 'other Earth', since his home planet was called Earth also. The other Earth was no doubt the so-called Rainbow Earth that he had read about in legend literature. EL had not found much evidence that the place actually existed until he met his contact Dagoez at the Omniversal Event. Dagoez told EL that he had really visited Earth which was in his home galaxy.
Now back on his Earth and waiting for some 12 cuadems after the O.H. Event, EL researched the other Earth. There was very little to find about it except a few stories in what was considered fantasy fiction. Dagoez had promised to come to take EL to that Earth so he could see it for himself. No specific date was given. But a telepathic message would announce Dagoez's arrival.
EL wondered how he could be taken there since it was several galaxies distant, and the CM was not to be used. Dagoez told him a special transport would be used which he would provide. He also told EL something about his race, which EL could not pronounce, and about their technology. It was more advanced than Hearthite, and similar to the Bendinites of EL's galaxy. All he had to do was wait for his contact's call.
EL lived alone in a small apartment of the Midat citystate on the western shore of Atlantica Sea. He and Salena had separated years ago, but still had an amicable relationship when he was there.
One night he was awakened by an unusual noise. At first he was not sure where it came from. But when he looked out his window, he saw a strange light from above. Then he realized that it was the source of the noise. EL sat down and waited. The sound had stopped. He got no telepathic message. He heard no voice at all. He began to wonder if it was an enemy of his. He knew that a few were still actively seeking him to harm him somehow.
EL returned to bed. He had been experiencing an aversion to sleep, getting less and less lately. This was due to a few possible factors. He was nearing the age as a Hearthite, when sleep patterns become irregular, eventually leading to longer sleep times. Then there was the 'closer to home' melody that would come sometimes at night and not leave his mind alone. But EL feels sure what has affected his sleep more than anything else is his special knowledge and experiences. The complicated web of consciousness that adds more weight and responsibility with each day's thoughts. In sleep, the subconscious mind could open doors to new dimensions and new realities. And a mind that has more to work with like El's, offers more possibilities. However, EL has learned to adapt to his 'heavy mind' and live a so-called normal life.
The noise roused him again. He lay in bed waiting until - he heard,
EL, EL it is time.
It sounded like someone whispering by the side of his bed. This ambiguous voice was not what he was expecting from his contact Dagoez.
Is that you Dagoez?
In a louder, clearer base tone it responded,
Yes, I am he. Come out. Come with me to the rare other Earth.
I am coming,
EL answered as if under psychic control now. He got out of bed. Suddenly he was outside under a bright light. Then, after another apparent blackout, he was on the alien craft. He found himself lying down on his back looking at the ceiling. He could not move. He heard whispering alien voices, totally foreign and unknown, like exhalations of multiple nightmares. A figure came into view with the same general features as Dagoez and told EL,
We have to prepare you for the voyage.
He reached for a panel and all went dark again.
The next thing EL remembered was waking with a headache and blurry vision. He thought to himself, 'What is happening here? Something is wrong.' The figure appeared before EL again. It had a large swolen bluish gray head with large black eyes.
We are here, EL,
it said in a faint voice. It motioned for him to rise up. EL got up slowly. He could see better now. The alien host led him to a window panel. The view outside was of green grass, trees in the distance and a light blue sky. It certainly looked like Earth at evening time. As EL was gazing outside and starting to feel better, something came into view. It was an ibee, then a few more followed, walking toward the ship. They had Hearthite features, but had smaller heads and dark hair. They were humans - earthlings. The four of them entered the ship. When they came into the room where EL was, they stopped and looked at him, then at one another. The host ibee said something in his audible whispering kind of sound. One of the humans answered back in the same kind of sounds. The light in the ship changed to red. The faces of the humans began to melt! Their fake faces dropped off to reveal the same large head, bug-eyed appearance of the host. They all slowly closed in on EL. He looked for an exit but there was none. The group of five aliens pushed
