Under the Screaming Sky Book 1 Red Dragons - Trill Dragon
Trill and Evelyn stood looking out at the Fae sphere where the Elemental Wars had their start. Would you my mate fly the mating dance with me? Trill whispered, with you and only you. It hardly seemed that nearly a year ago they had defeated the Dark Elven King, and the Shadow and Chaos dragons. Evelyn was pacing back and forth on the balcony. Trill inquired, What bothers you my lifemate?
You and I only gave the Elemental dragons at most, a few months before the Elementals would start their attack! So we must start our plans. Yes, that is my thought also, Trill replied. I had used my Dragon God powers to hurry the hatchlings growth mentally and physically. They are now full grown and all but one male who passed over before his egg cracked. I am hopeful that you (Evelyn) will instill the same bravery as was instilled in the ladies of your court. Of course, my mate I will do anything I can for our new army. Evelyn replied. Trill commented, I will awaken six males, young, aggressive, with good bloodlines, you (Evelyn) can pick a group of breeders for the males. Evelyn replied, they will never know what hit them
Tod, have you sensed any new disturbances? Tod looked to the map of their string of pearls, He pointed to the Nether sphere and the sphere of Magic. I can check on the sphere of Magic. If you (Trill) could have someone check on the Nether sphere. Trill contacted Shirra, would you take some dark elves and check on the Nether sphere? Tod felt something going on there.
After six weeks of searching, Tod found that a group of apprentice Mages trying out their new Fire spells had started a forest fire. It had taken a week to contain and another week to put it out completely. The young mages were removed from the Fire school in favor of studies in the Healing school of Magic. Tod returned to the mortal sphere with Darrel.
Shirra and her dark Elf friend Jers along with Cass one of the younger dragons set out to the Nether sphere to track the disturbances that Tod had noted. Trill and Evelyn considered this group a force capable to handle anything they would encounter, but reminded them that Cass or Shirra could call the Cavalry (the dragon army) at a moment's notice. Trill sighed; I guess they are the best for the job. I think they will be amazing! Said Evelyn!
Chapter one
Shirra’s charge
Shirra moved them through the Portals to avoid anyone noticing dragons blinking into the Nether sphere. I am glad that Trill put us in a group with this much responsibility. Shirra my love, there was never any doubt. Cass and I will have your back. Once inside the Nether sphere Shirra called a halt. She told Jers to gather his dark Elven friends only the most trust worthy to gather for a resistance army. Shirra told Cass to take to the air and search for any sign of Elemental dragons. Steer clear of groups, though a lone male would be easy to handle. Get whatever info you can, and if he wants to join send him back to the main camp. I can truthspeak him there.
Jers returned with fifteen members of his clan. They brought two clans of women, who had heard of the fierce Shirra and wanted to join. The resistance was growing; Shirra and Jers wondered if it would be enough to free the dark elves from the elemental dragon’s control.
As they discussed size and makeup of the cells Cass returned. Cass confirmed what they already suspected they needed a plan to keep the pressure on the dragons. It was decided that each cell would be composed of twelve dark elves. These cells were led by one of Jers’s friends. The leaders had been taught mindspeak for communications; they could contact Cass for backup Shirra or Jers for help. After
