About this ebook

We are not an accident of nature, nor a transit life form put together by the luck of the draw. Life can neither design nor create itself from non-living matter. Life on Planet Earth, complete with its supporting ecosystem, exists in obedient response to the command of the Almighty God, Master Designer and Creator of all things.
The human brain’s more than seven billion cerebral computers, each spinning off four billion calculations per second, correlate in sync to build our personal identity. This three-pound masterpiece of design and function has no visible connection to an exterior power source.
With the birth of every child, this compact package of interconnected neurons is delivered to a new generation, securely encased in a protective skull, and fully functional. The brain’s design is pre-determined by unseen, living strands of DNA---double helix ladders, invisible to the human eye, long enough to stretch high into the heavens if strung end-to-end.
By choosing to fellowship with the Creator by “obeying his commandments and holding to the testimony of Jesus,” the reward leads to a
“peace that passes all understanding” during a lifetime on Earth and the guarantee of eternal life when Christ returns to create all things new.”

Warren LeRoi Johns

Johns practiced law as a career in California, Maryland, and the District of Columbia until partial retirement in the summer of 1992. Admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court in 1963, he has been a member of the American Association for the Advancement of Science. His non-fiction Dateline Sunday, U.S.A., drew national attention as a legal history documenting blue law confrontation with the U.S. Constitution's first amendment. His 1999 Ride to Glory targeted some of evolution's more obvious shortfalls while a lawyer’s academic perspective documented evolution’s most obvious “flaws” and “holes” in his 2007 Beyond Forever. A 1958 graduate of the University of Southern California's Law Center, and holder of La Sierra University's 1994 "Alumnus of the Year" award, the author’s professional resume appears in Who's Who in American Law; Who’s Who in America; and Who's Who in the World. Black Magic

Life Didn’t Create Itself from non-Living Matter

Scientists who go about teaching that evolution is a fact of life are great con-men, and the story they are telling may be the greatest hoax ever. In explaining evolution we do not have one iota of fact. ¹

    T.M. Tahmisian

Intelligent humans are not beguiled by the black magic of voodoo drums or the legerdemain acts staged in Las Vegas. Mankind is not stupid!

No question about it, innovative human minds have devised formulas that split atoms and splice genes. But neither accident nor human intelligence has ever created an atom or a gene from nothingness.

    © Bryan Brazil

Antelope Canyon’s nod to nature’s surreal handiwork.

Imagine a courtroom where a lawyer represents a client without a shred of supporting evidence by blandly suggesting proof is unnecessary since his client admits his allegations are factual. No jury of human peers would swallow make believe and award a verdict in favor of quaint imaginings!

Hardly a likely scenario in a culture demanding facts!

So while quaint imaginings would not pass as evidence in a courtroom, the virus of conjecture has infected science—if you label evolution as science. Even Charles Darwin had doubts. The naturalist warned the world of flaws and holes in his fantasy.

I am quite conscious that my speculations run beyond the bounds of true science. As to first life creating itself, he admitted Science, as yet, throws no light on the far higher problem of the essence or origin of life.

The guru’s confession was spot on! Since Origin of Species hit the streets in 1859, not a shred of scientific evidence exists that a single living cell can create itself from inert, non-living matter.

Not that humans haven’t tried by giving Mother Nature a helping hand!

Firing a rocket into space is child’s play compared to duplicating a cell’s complexity. The unseen helix strands of DNA in a single living cell, dictating life’s designs, if strung end-to-end would stretch far into the heavens.

Does DNA information create itself? Not in millions of years!

To survive, simplest life requires food and the ability to reproduce. All this in a supporting ecosystem which includes the protective cocoon of the Van Allen Belt.

No one believes a rocket created itself before lift-off. So what’s the black magic that seduces human thought into believing life created itself? Biased minds seem open to the idea that some forms of extraterrestrial life, superior to human capabilities, existing in the cosmos, have visited Earth.

So why not a Supreme Life Giver—with universal power and wisdom beyond human comprehension?

Science offers no evidence of an alternative. Lacking evidence proving life on Earth created itself accidentally, a mythical Emperor Evolution stands stark naked in persistent but futile quest of a foundation upon which to construct a Potemkin Village of make-believe science.

    *****

Until and unless intelligent minds can successfully transform inanimate, non-living matter into a living cell, complete with DNA, the propagandized postulates of Charles Robert Darwin lack viable academic legs.

It took a team composed of hundreds of the brightest scientific minds backed by a billion dollar budget to send a man to the moon and back. No one claims it could have happened accidentally, by the luck of the draw, without intelligent input. A living cell is infinitely more complex but ironically there are intelligent human minds who allege life created itself from inert, non-living matter.

Evolution theory is a scientific non-starter, a fairy tale for grownups. ²

Darwin's wish list of unsubstantiated propositions starts with his primitive perception of the presumably simple cell with sequences allegedly leading to fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds, mammals, and ultimately Homo sapiens.

Evolution's essence envisions life without an intelligent Creator. Instead a haphazard jungle menagerie of random-chance forces is proposed, competing for survival, yet still having the luck-of-the-draw capacity to produce the productive orderliness that surrounds and sustains life on Earth.

In this dismal scenario, humans face a forever death. Our present toil and pain is unexplained, unless, perhaps as they are seen to be the consequences of an ill-defined, undirected struggle. This dire reality is not seen to be the consequence of sin, for in the context of this secular worldview, moral and spiritual realities are essentially ignored.

Darwinism proposes a gradual physical progress toward perfection over deep time, and it intentionally dismisses a Creation week put in place by the verbal command of Infinite God. Darwin’s alternative: natural selection must take advantage of slight successive variations; she can never take a great and sudden leap, but must advance by short and sure, though slow, steps. ³

    *****

Rather than fashioned in God's image, Darwin's make-believe human is descended from a hairy quadruped, furnished with a tail and pointed ears, probably arboreal in its habits… ⁴ Reduced to its bare-bones core, evolution contends that intelligent human life sprang spontaneously (and certainly inexplicably) from a nonliving, non-conscious, non-intelligent source.

This view of a wealthy, Victorian elitist whose credentials include three Cambridge years studying for the Anglican ministry, may have been railing against a contemporary religion that caricatured God as a tyrant, intent on torturing the wayward with the horror of an everlasting, fiery torment.

Rejecting the prospect of eternal life, Darwin sentenced Homo sapiens to eventual extinction, predicting we may safely infer that not one living species will transmit its unaltered likeness to a distant futurity.

One of Darwin's more mind-numbing suppositions never made it past his 1859 first edition of The Origin of Species. The imaginator confessed he could see no difficulty in a race of bears being rendered, by natural selection, more and more aquatic in their structure and habits … till a creature was produced as monstrous as a whale.

Darwin’s fictional assertions strayed into the realm of today's politically incorrect. He ranked the male gender as decidedly superior over the female.

…The chief distinction in the intellectual powers of the two sexes is shewn [shown] by man attaining to a higher eminence, in whatever he takes up, than woman can attain—whether requiring deep thought, reason, or imagination, or merely the use of the senses and hands.

With a nod to eugenics (alleged improvement of the human race by controlled selective breeding ⁸ Vaccination science irritated Darwin. Vaccination has preserved thousands, who from a weak constitution would formerly have succumbed to small-pox. Thus the weak members of civilised [civilized] societies propagate their kind… this must be highly injurious to the race of man.

In the face of this threat to the survival of the fittest theme, he took a deep breath and surrendered to science. We must bear without complaining the undoubtedly bad effects of the weak surviving and propagating their kind. ¹⁰

The stain of racism in his writings reflected a cultural greed that had exploited the slave trade. At some future period, not very distant as measured by centuries, the civilised [civilized] races of man will almost certainly exterminate and replace throughout the world the savage races. ¹¹

Perhaps unnerved by the paucity of evidence supporting his ideas, a reflecting Darwin made at least two concessions: That his conjectures were 'a mere rag of an hypothesis with as many flaw[s] and holes as sound parts…' ¹² while admitting he was …quite conscious that my speculations run beyond the bounds of true science.' ¹³

Later, in a private letter to an American friend, he worried candidly that he may …have devoted my life to a phantasy. ¹⁴

    *****

Valid reasons exist for Darwin's intellectual hand wringing! Despite the secular media's repetitious rhetoric parading evolution as fact, an impressive roster of contemporary scientists discount Darwinism.

A prominent evolutionist writer flatly asserts the conviction that over millions of years, tree-living reptiles evolved into birds. But in the same book, he admits it is impossible to know for certain whether one species is the ancestor of another. ¹⁵

In a further burst of admirable candor, the same writer describes evolution's chain of ancestry as a completely human invention created after the fact, shaped to accord with human prejudices…. Each fossil represents an isolated point, with no knowable connection to any other given fossil, and all float around in an overwhelming sea of gaps. ¹⁶

Michael Denton portrays the Darwinian theory of evolution [as] no more or less than the great cosmogenic myth of the twentieth century…nowhere was Darwin able to point to one bona fide case of natural selection having actually generated evolutionary change in nature … ¹⁷

Three obvious shortfalls in his suppositions stand out in bold relief, edging evolution's hype toward history's dustbin.

    1—Evolution doesn’t explain the first-ever appearance of a living cell;

2—The sudden, simultaneous, Global appearance of more than 7,000 complex species of life, without a trace of ancestry; and

3—The incompetence of mutations to transform one kind of life into an entirely new kind, even given vast periods of deep time.

Darwin lacked the faintest clue that a simple cell was anything more than a blob of protoplasm. He skipped any serious attempt to explain the spontaneous generation of original life. Instead, the philosopher shrugged it off, admitting science as yet throws no light on the far higher problem of the essence or origin of life. ¹⁸

Laboratory replication of a single cell from scratch, life from nonlife, complete with a full code of genes exponentially more complex than any mechanism humans have yet devised, continues to elude Darwin's heirs.

No scientist has yet duplicated or explained just how spontaneous generation might have happened, except to in effect attribute it to some accident or chance, taking place in the dim recesses of prebiotic deep time. The recipe for first life and its complete genome baffles and eludes science!

Human minds have no clue as to how to create genetic information in a science lab. Miller/Urey’s attempt to find the recipe for making a living cell by mixing inorganic matter in a test tube, didn’t come close to producing life much less the genetic information essential for life to exist and to propagate.

The odds of random chance generating a friendly environment essential to produce and sustain organic life, is mathematically less likely than six billion blindfolded humans simultaneously solving the riddle of a Rubik's Cube-in less than a minute.

    *****

The evolution/creation debate is something more than an intellectual song and dance. It reaches beyond the physical body, into the soul. The issue touches every fabric of the person. Evolution addresses the bare-bones material while humans yearn for insight into the Big Picture spiritual.

In discarding the possibility of a conscious, intelligent, creative life-source, Darwin envisioned a simple-to-complex gradualism somehow taking place within the recesses of deep time zones. Verification of this imaginary scheme hinged on discovery of fossil cemeteries filled with intermediate life forms, bridging the yawning gulfs between single-celled ancestors and multi-celled, diversified descendants in the Plant and Animal Kingdoms.

Those millions of transitionals remain missing. The Pre-Cambrian fossil record offers a virtual paleontological desert. The imagined evolutionary trail of the Plant Kingdom troubled Darwin.

'Nothing is more extraordinary in the history of the Vegetable Kingdom … than the apparently very sudden or abrupt development of the higher plants. ¹⁹ Late in the twentieth century, a Cambridge University Botany Department scientist concluded, to the unprejudiced, the fossil record of plants favours [sic] special creation. ²⁰

    © Mike Norkum

    DNA dictates design.

DNA is to biology what atoms are to matter.

This universal appearance of a pervasive diversity of complex life doesn’t square with speculations requiring the gradual emergence of innumerable transitional forms. The missing ancestry chain troubled Darwin.

Geological research…does not yield the infinitely many fine gradations between past and present species required on the theory…why do we not find beneath this system great piles of strata stored with the remains of the progenitors of the Cambrian fossils? ²¹

Equally stunning and subversive to Darwin's fondest theories is the reality that many of these original fossil kinds of life failed to subsequently evolve. Instead they continue to be stable, in a state of stasis, virtually unchanged today from any fossil ancestors. A classic example of this is the fact that the oldest known water lily fossils appear identical to their twenty-first-century descendants.

Beyond evolution's inability to explain the how and when of first life arising from inorganic matter and the abrupt appearance of complex life without evidence of prior ancestry, is the discovery of the genome which underscores intelligent design, irreducible complexity, and the unique information code inherent in each prototypical life.

The genetic code packed in the DNA of each genome carries an inherent capacity for variation designed to accommodate environment. The degree of flexibility facilitated by this adaptation does not correlate with or empower in the radical shifts envisioned by Darwinists.

Alaska's state bird, the ptarmigan, sheds its dull camouflage colors-of summer, each year, in exchange for a winter mantle of white feathers to match the snow. Come summer again, there's a consistent reversion back to the subdued shades of rock. The ptarmigan's genes carry the camouflage information that triggers seasonal change, generation after generation. No matter how many seasonal cycles come and go with color-coded transformations, the ptarmigan remains a ptarmigan—forever. ²²

Lock-step misinterpretation of a genome's capacity for variety, as well as the development of hybrids, touts apples to prove oranges, thus misleading a gullible public in a lemming like march to nowhere!

Neo-Darwinists rely on mutations as the elixir that drives evolutionary change to feed the natural selection process, ultimately blazing the trail to an entirely new and different descendant organism—thanks to an assumed time scale counted in multi-millions of years. Regardless, random mutations within a prototype genome have yet to bridge the biological gap leading to an entirely new and different kind.

Mutations never add new information to the genetic code essential for an entirely new life form, and mutations are notoriously deleterious to the genome. Despite laboratory mutations induced repeatedly in the lowly fruit fly, descendant fruit flies continue to be fruit flies, often with weird deformities but always fruit flies, never dragonflies or butterflies— and this goes on ad infinitum for thousands of generations.

    It's the same for bacteria!

Alleged by evolutionists to have been around for something like 3.6 billion years, bacteria have produced millions of generations under this assumption. Still, descendant bacteria can’t shake their heritage—they remain bacteria, now and forever. Genetic chasms separating distinct kinds of organic systems have never been bridged by the mutation/natural selection combo.

Random chance transitions from one kind of critter to another, proposed as fact, never happened and never will happen! Forget the knee-jerk mantra asserting life's emergence from primordial slime followed by a mindless march from the sea.

Millions of transitional life forms, critical to evolution theory, continue missing from the fossil record. Analysis can’t tell which of two fossil fragments from the same species might be ancestral to the other.

A single cell fish to a man or woman? Fiction! Common ancestry shared between monkey and man? Never!

Articles of faith embraced by Christians anchor in an unequivocal belief in the biblical account of Creation week and the global deluge of Noah's day.

Christ Himself confirmed God's miracle of Creation and the planet-wide destruction wreaked by a cataclysmic deluge. Theological rejection or compromise with these biblical accounts, conflicts head-on with the reasoned testimony of Jesus Christ.

Theistic Evolution appeals to some who sport Christian trappings despite discounting the words of Christ's ministry. Trying to merge the unmergable in this field of thought diminishes God, contending He relied on evolution's random chance sequences over eons of deep time. Darwinian thought has been repeatedly patched, reprogrammed, and revised, in futile attempts to create a worldview that does not clash with belief in an Infinite Creator God. But evolutionism's thin soup recipe for life offers a starvation diet of unsubstantiated myth laced with fancy phraseology.

Faith in the mystical convergence of inorganic matter by natural forces, in an attempt to explain the genesis of the first ever cell of organic life, worships or at least plays at the feet of primitive superstition, which is the antithesis of science!

Michael Ruse, atheist and devoted disciple of Darwinian faith, describes evolution as a full-fledged alternative to Christianity…Evolution is a religion. This was true of evolution in the beginning, and it is true of evolution still today. ²³ Rational faith, on the other hand, envisions an Intelligent Designer who created life as well as the science that focuses on life's origin; a Supreme Intelligence beyond mortal comprehension.

University of Arizona evolutionist Paul Davies described evolution’s anchor dilemma. Darwinian evolution can operate only if life of some sort already exists…Darwinism can offer absolutely no help in explaining that all-important first step: the origin of life. ²⁴

Science writer and evolutionist, Gordy Slack, wrote: Evolution should be able to explain, in theory at least, all the way back to the very first organism that could replicate itself through biological or chemical processes…and what came before it….Right now, we are nowhere close. ²⁵

Simon Morris, professor of evolutionary biology at Cambridge University, pictures the problem as an ocean of ignorance. Despite decades of experimentation, with accompanying shouts of 'breakthrough' or 'almost there,' we are still paddling on the edges of an ocean of ignorance. ²⁶

University of Manchester’s professor of physics, Henry Lipson, concluded candidly, I think we must admit that the only acceptable explanation is creation. I know that this is anathema to physicists, as indeed it is to me, but we must not reject a theory that we do not like if the experimental evidence supports it. ²⁷

Two distinct worldviews offer an either/or choice. Both options envision faith-based religions. Faith in the religion of evolutionism leads to darkness and to mere death. Biblical faith, worships the eternal God of the Universe who created humans in His own image and through His son, Jesus Christ, blazed the trail of victory over death.

    Disarming the Big Bang

    Chemical Evolution

You may find it hard to believe God could make everything out of nothing. But the alternative is that nothing turned itself into everything. ¹

    Mark Cahill

BANG! Make that a colossal, universe-wide BIG BANG!!!

Voila! At that ancient instant, our Universe allegedly created itself!

The explosive idea of the creative power of spontaneous celestial fireworks took root in the phrase "hypothesis of the primeval atom," coined in 1927 by Georges Lemaitre. The Belgian priest looked back in deep time to a day without yesterday.

    © Romolo Travani

Atomic bomb explosions destroy life and matter. Its unproven conjecture that a Big Bang cosmic explosion creates something from nothing.

Successor Big Bangers speculate that somewhere in the deep time past, within the amorphous haze of a subatomic world of quantum foam, ² a cataclysmic explosion of a hot, dense, miniscule dot, no bigger than a period at the end of a sentence, activated a chain of events that supposedly evolved every star and planet in our universe. As the theory goes, hydrogen and helium were dividends of the initial bang.

Tied to an interpretation of quantum mechanics, the idea portrays a magic moment having occurred spontaneously 13.82 billion years before the present. Side-stepping any attempt to picture conditions prior to the conjectured explosion, the ancient date is viewed as a kick-off point for the formation of protons, neutrons, and electrons, which launched an inflation which allegedly created all matter composing our universe.

    Stephen Hawking expressed reservations.

"The odds against a universe like ours emerging out of something like the Big Bang are enormous. I think there are clearly
