Introduction
Do you have what it takes to live off the grid? Do you have what it takes to live without a credit card, car, electricity, running water or other necessities of life? When it goes to living off the grid you are taking yourself off paper as it were. You are not relying on the aid of modern society and the major conveniences that it offers to you.
Not everyone is made to live off the grid. When you chose to live off the grid you are choosing to take the responsibility of your own life and your own future into your own hands. You for a better sense of the words are turning your back on society and the way we live. You are not focusing on a job to generate money. You are not looking to heat or power your home with commercially supplied electricity The water you drink, bathe in as well as use for other necessities of life must be acquired from other sources.
When it comes to living off the grid you will need to live in a semi-isolated environment. You will need to step back from cell phones, computers, home delivery services and other items most of us take for granted.
If you feel that you have the power and the ability to take the steps to living the off the grid lifestyle then the information contained within will give you the foundation that you need in order to take the first steps.
Chapter 1 – The Basic Foundation
Before you go crazy and pitch a tent in the backyard and run an extension cord to your neighbor’s house it is important to first get a foundation on what it means to go off the grid. When people say that they are going off the grid many people take it in different ways. First of all there are many different levels of going off the grid.
