About this ebook

The next day Jesus went into Galilee, and found Philip, and said to him, "Follow me." Philip was from the city of Bethsaida, the same place where Andrew and Peter were from. Philip went and he found Nathaniel, and said to him, "We have found him, of whom Moses and the Prophets wrote about, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph."

And Nathaniel answered, "Can anything good come out of Nazareth?"

Philip replied, "Come and see."

Jesus saw Nathaniel coming toward him and said, "Look an Israelite indeed, in whom there is no deceit!"

Nathaniel replied, "Where do you know me from?"

Jesus answered him, "Before Philip called you when you were under the fig-tree, I saw you."

Nathaniel replied, "Rabbi, you are the Son of God; you are the King of Israel."

Jesus said to him, "Because I said to you, I saw you under the fig tree, you believe? You'll see greater things than these." And he said, "Truly, truly, I say to you, from hereafter you'll see heaven open, and angels of God descending and ascending upon the Son of Man."

The Life Of Jesus - Paul A. Lynch

    Dedication

    TO CHILDREN EVERYWHERE on earth.

The Stories And Accounts Of Jesus’ Life And Work

Jesus has been the most popular biblical figure in the entire world. The youngest child in the western world has some idea of who Jesus is and what he represents. Today there are roughly over two and a half billion Christians worldwide. There are numerous church denominations and groups that profess Jesus Christ. What’s so special about Jesus Christ that so many people throughout the centuries have worshiped him and called him Lord and God? Although not everyone is a Christian, no other religious figure in history claims to have such large amounts of followers as does the Christian religion.

This is a collection of biblical stories written so that children and readers alike may know where Jesus was born, how he grew up, and what he truly represented. The Jesus of the Bible is different from the Jesus many people worship today in the society. One fascinating thing about Jesus’ life is the miracles he performed on earth. The entire biblical stories and accounts mentioned to a great extent that Jesus healed many who were sick and that he spent his time being poor. Jesus chose some disciples which he taught for three and a half years and they were later known as Apostles meaning those who are sent. The disciples were ordinary folks like us who were uneducated, afraid, and poor. The Pharisees and Sadducees along with the scribes didn’t believe in Jesus and they often criticized him for just doing something good. In Jesus’ time, many people didn’t understand what his mission and purpose were, and even the very disciples didn’t until after he was crucified and resurrected from the dead. There’s no doubt today about how Jesus has changed and inspired this world. Think about this for a moment everyone who Jesus performed a miracle for or gave advice to knew he was real. Today, of a truth, we don’t need anyone to force us to believe in Jesus, but rather he said, Blessed is he who doesn’t feel offended by me. The reason why Jesus came to earth was because he wanted us to be happy and free. Jesus no doubt will return again to bring those who accepted and believed on his name to heaven. I hope this book will be a blessing to everyone who may read it so that they can know that Jesus loves them. The Gospels tell us about Jesus’ work and characteristics or in other words his very nature. The word Gospel simply means Good News. What’s this good news? The good news is about Jesus’ saving grace and love for humanity and his entire creation that he gave his own life for them.

    Yours sincerely,

    Paul A. Lynch

The Bible was written so that everyone would believe that only Jesus gives us new life, hope, and a blessed future.

John 20:30-31 King James Version (KJV)

20:30 And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book:

20:31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.

The Gospels didn’t highlight everything that Jesus did because there were so many things that were done by him.

John 21:24-25 King James Version (KJV)

21:24 This is the disciple which testifieth of these things, and wrote these things: and we know that his testimony is true.

21:25 And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.
